Responsibilities

• Build a platform that can grow without limit, including enterprise search.
• Create large-scale distributed systems that keep working when parts fail.
• Review peers' code for interface design, code quality, and testing approach.
• Turn customer needs into working product features.
• Partner with product teams to confirm features meet requirements and ship with high quality.
• Build ingestion pipelines that pull data from all enterprise sources into a secure search index, using C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Design and build user interfaces for employees to search company content, and design an API for other search applications.

Requirements

• A master's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, any engineering field, information technology, or a closely related quantitative discipline, plus two years of experience in the job offered, or two years in software development, data science, or a related occupation.
• Preferably, knowledge of performance benchmarking tools and performance tuning on Linux systems.
• Special skills: machine learning and deep learning, MLOps, Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, anomaly detection, scikit-learn, AWS, NLP, and security and data engineering.
• Any suitable mix of education, training, and experience is acceptable.

Conditions

Base salary is $215,000 to $278,900 per year. Pay depends on location, level, job knowledge, skills, and experience. Some roles may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.

The role is hybrid and based in Mountain View, CA. Telecommuting is permitted.

Interviews include a short AI-focused exercise or discussion about how you design and use AI. You may reference any tools or workflows you use today, and prior experience with the company is not required.
