Senior Staff Software Engineer, Agentic AI Harness & Quality - Moveworks

Description

The team builds the agent layer of the Moveworks AI Assistant platform, focused on making work that agents perform reliable at scale.

The work spans agent orchestration, sandboxed file systems and code execution, latency, agent memory, LLM self-reflection, execution environment simulation, enterprise knowledge graphs, and multimodal input and output.

You get access to the tools of modern enterprise AI, including top-tier LLMs from providers such as OpenAI.

The team moves quickly on scalable infrastructure and works on hard product and engineering problems that deliver more value to customers.

Responsibilities

• Take on difficult engineering problems in the areas above and build AI agent systems that are reliable in every sense.
• Implement advanced AI algorithms and architectures and take them into production at scale.
• Apply recent progress in machine learning, LLMs, and AI agents to improve the product and the user experience.
• Shape the roadmap and lead engineering areas that keep growing in scope and impact.
• Write robust, extensible, readable, and performant code.
• Work with experts in machine learning, security, product, user experience, and customer success to build the best enterprise AI product.
• Mentor engineers on the team on building, maintaining, and evolving solid software.
• Work alongside machine learning engineers to build world-class AI systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years designing, building, and improving production systems, ideally at scale.
• Ability to reason and communicate clearly about complex engineering problems and systems.
• Willingness to give and take feedback, and to hold yourself and others to a high standard of operational excellence.
• Ability to get productive quickly on a Mac, programming in Python, Golang, and/or Java.
• Wish to ship at startup speed with a high level of ownership.
• Attention to detail.
• Drive to ship product improvements as production-grade code.
• Strong appetite for steady, incremental wins and for finishing hard projects quickly.
• Curiosity about engineering beyond your own discipline and a continuing wish to learn and stay current in applied AI.
