Software Engineer (Java)

Description

The team is Digital Intelligence Software Engineering at the company, and this role is a Java software engineer position working on the Device Intelligence platform.

The platform merges different device identifiers into one unified profile, so businesses can recognise a device even when they only have partial data. The problem is technically interesting and you will work on it directly.

You will report to the Software Team Manager.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve the microservices behind the company's device recognition product, which the posting describes as one of the industry's leading solutions.
• Take part in the whole software lifecycle, from design through to deployment.
• Learn from senior engineers via code reviews, pair programming and mentoring.
• Use current tools, including AI-assisted development tools, as part of your everyday work.
• Take on more ownership over time as your confidence and expertise grow.

Requirements

• At least 5 years working as a software engineer, with Java 8 or later.
• Understanding of object-oriented principles, data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Practical use of clean code and refactoring habits.
• Working knowledge of collections, concurrency, generics, error handling and persistence frameworks.
• Experience building microservice architectures.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, AWS, REST APIs, and the Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Security frameworks.
