Description

The team modernizes business-critical applications, moving legacy Windows-based.NET workloads into scalable, secure services on AWS EKS.

You will work alongside application, database, platform, security and operations colleagues to simplify how applications run, speed up PostgreSQL, improve monitoring and alerting, and automate infrastructure delivery.

You bring interest in AI, automation and cloud-native engineering and turn it into practical, responsible changes for the team.

The company is a global data and technology company serving financial services, healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, insurance and other markets, with 25,200 people in 32 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate and modernize Windows-based.NET applications into containers on AWS EKS, designing and supporting Kubernetes deployments that are reliable, scalable and secure.
  • Tune PostgreSQL stored procedures, functions, queries and indexes, working with application and DBA teams to find and fix bottlenecks.
  • Build and improve monitoring, logging, alerting and operational runbooks with Dynatrace, Splunk and CloudWatch.
  • Help with application security, including vulnerability remediation, patching, secure configuration and compliance follow-up.
  • Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code in Terraform and Terragrunt, aiming for delivery that is repeatable and easy to maintain.
  • Work with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, release support, environment provisioning and production deployments.
  • Troubleshoot problems that span application, infrastructure, database, networking, security and observability.
  • Manage several workstreams at once, keep priorities clear and keep delivery commitments on track.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and application modernization, including moving Windows-based.NET applications into containers.
  • Experience with AWS EKS or Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of core Kubernetes concepts: pods, deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, resource management and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience tuning PostgreSQL workloads, including stored procedures, functions, indexes, execution plans and queries.
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk and CloudWatch.
  • Experience fixing application security findings and supporting secure deployment practices.
  • Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Experience in Agile, DevOps or platform engineering teams using CI/CD and automated deployments.
  • You live in or near one of the designated collaboration hubs for this role.
