This is a Software Engineer III role based at 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089.
The job covers building, testing and maintaining software components and applications, working with business and technical stakeholders from requirements through to upkeep.
Responsibilities
Keep your technical knowledge current and apply it to plan, run and improve work, advising colleagues on methods and best practices.
Support customer and business needs, and bring others around to your view and reasoning.

Build and maintain a requirement traceability matrix linking business requirements, functional requirements, designs and test cases.
Help write user stories for components, modules and simpler requirements, such as those driven by scalability, when working in agile.
Build relationships with key stakeholders, identify business needs, set up and run the right processes, track progress and results, spot and act on improvements, and adjust to shifting priorities, reorganisations and new duties.
Write lean code for whole components and applications, making sure they meet business, technical and non-functional needs, including maintainability, high availability and scalability.
Help choose suitable languages such as JavaScript, Python or C, development standards and tools such as Monday.com, Linx or Embold for coding and configuration.
Learn the basics of new languages and frameworks that will be useful for future work.
Write scripts that automate repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, testing and other processes where applicable.
Build telemetry features as needed, working independently.
Make sure security policy requirements are applied to components and applications during development and configuration.
Ensure your work and the team's work follow company policies, procedures, mission, values and ethics standards, and show others how to do the same, including through the company's open door policy.
Turn customer requirements into test objectives, then define and create test cases for components and modules.
Run test cases to find errors and defects across the whole component, using suitable testing tools for each type of test.
Track and analyse defects in components and modules, and run regression tests to fix them across all affected code changes.
Review defects from past projects and solutions to prevent similar ones from recurring.
Find and resolve performance and availability bottlenecks in applications.
Carry out complex maintenance on applications independently.
Track and analyse the right metrics to evaluate application performance, and carry out corrective, adaptive and perfective maintenance and re-engineering.
Analyse application logs, maintenance data and performance data, and report your findings.
Assess change requests to decide which are valid and feasible.
Keep the project on track against approved milestones and timelines.
