Software Engineer - Full Stack (Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required)

Description

The company is hiring a full stack software engineer for an Agile DevSecOps program built around a mission-critical enterprise application.

The application is the central platform for submitting, adjudicating, searching, discovering and retrieving geospatial intelligence data and related collection requirements.

It coordinates workflows across a wide network of data suppliers and covers the full lifecycle of collection, exploitation, dissemination and production requirements.

The team works on long-term projects using current technology to solve difficult customer problems, and the owners are directly reachable by team members in a close-knit, open setting.

This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• As part of an Agile scrum team, you will plan, run and coordinate development across the full lifecycle.
• You will design, build, document, test and debug software that turns logical and mathematical methods into solutions for mission-critical problems.
• You will apply suitable standards, processes, procedures and tools at every stage, and define and enforce software standards.
• You will integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and free/open-source software (FOSS) components and fix program errors.
• You will compile development documentation and study system capabilities to settle questions about program intent, output needs and input data sources.
• You will confirm that features and use cases are built correctly into implemented designs and help connect the work to continuous delivery pipelines.

• Preferred: Eclipse or NetBeans IDE.
• Preferred: Docker containerization.
• Preferred: CI/CD pipeline tools, including Git, JIRA, Jenkins and Conductor.
• Preferred: Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Preferred: Consul and CMDB.
• Preferred: Helm chart development and maintenance.
• Preferred: observability tools Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir and Tempo.
• Preferred: big data ingest technologies JSON, Kafka, microservices and Elasticsearch.
• Preferred: analytics frameworks Hive, Spark, PIG and OOZIE workflows.
• Preferred: Hadoop ecosystem HDFS, IMPALA and HUE.
• Preferred: COTS data platform integration with MongoDB, MySQL RDS, Logstash, Kibana and Kinetica.
• Preferred: Docker and Chef configuration management.
• Preferred: Selenium automated testing.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• You must be a U.S. citizen.
