Description

The team builds and runs data workflows and automation pipelines on Apache Airflow.

The goal is orchestration that is dependable, scalable and easy to observe, serving data engineering, analytics and operations.

The company supplies technology and mission services to every major US government, defense and intelligence agency, with about 26,000 staff in more than 50 countries and work in AI, cloud, cyber and software development.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data workflows and automation pipelines in Apache Airflow.
• Build workflow orchestration that is reliable, scalable and observable.
• Support data engineering, analytics and operational use cases.
• Work with data engineers, platform teams and stakeholders so workflows are efficient, secure and ready for production.

Requirements

• Experience using Apache Airflow, including DAG design, scheduling, operators and sensors, to orchestrate, schedule and monitor complex workflows.
• Experience with distributed big data processing engines, including Apache Spark.
• Experience with the Linux command line and Linux tools.
• Experience writing Bash scripts to automate manual work.
• Recent software development in Python and Java.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, containerd and Podman.
• Experience with Git source control.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• A bachelor's degree in arts or science.
• No certifications required.
• US citizenship required.
• You must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph. No Public Trust clearance is required.
• Desired: experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Desired: familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.

Conditions

Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USA.

Scheduled at 40 hours per week, with no travel required.

The likely salary range is $152,150 to $205,850. It is not guaranteed, depends on experience, location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
