Software Developer (SharePoint)

Description

The company is a public sector IT firm that handles complex systems integration, informatics and analytics, solution implementation and program management, and was acquired by Accenture in July 2024.

The team covers software development, data science, security management, machine learning, cloud and mobile work.

This is a contract role on a SharePoint on-premises platform, taking over work from a current contractor.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the system, and lead the development teams doing it.
• Turn requirements into technical designs and propose technical solutions to business needs and technical problems.
• Improve the software for performance, security and quality.
• Set software development standards and manage configuration and releases.
• Estimate the effort and time needed for development.
• Collect and interpret software metrics.
• Take part in requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, change management and deployment.
• Build and test solutions, including developing testing tools.
• Prototype solutions and write technical documentation for your work.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Show English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Hold an advanced level certificate in software development relevant to the domain.
• Have taken at least one solution through its complete lifecycle.
• Have deep experience building enterprise software in your chosen technology domain.
• Know UML and be able to design applications with it.
• Be skilled in building the data layer, business logic layer and UI layer.
• Have worked in Scrum teams and be able to lead technical teams.
• Document technical solutions clearly and show strong problem-solving skills.
• Have proven experience building enterprise applications on SharePoint on-premises (2019 or Subscription Edition) using SPFx, React/TypeScript and PnPjs, including custom Web APIs in.NET/C on IIS and SQL Server.
• Have taken over and evolved a codebase written by a third party, covering code review, refactoring, technical debt management and regression testing, in a Scrum team that uses Azure DevOps Boards, Repos with pull-request workflow and Pipelines.
• Have integrated line-of-business applications with identity providers and external systems (EU Login, SAML, Entra ID, REST APIs, notifications, document management), and optimised performance of list-based SharePoint solutions.
• Work directly with business owners, analysts and testers on backlog refinement, estimation and acceptance.
• Be available for a knowledge-transfer period overlapping the last sprints of the current contractor, in November 2026.
