Software Developer - TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Description

The company is a global technology and professional services firm with about 26,000 staff, serving US government, defense and intelligence agencies across 50+ countries with AI, cloud, cyber and software development work.

The role supports an intelligence community customer by building software that turns data into usable intelligence, with a focus on the mission and on solving complex IT problems for the customer.

The team works in an Agile, Scrum setting and is spread across locations, so you will collaborate remotely as well as on site.

Responsibilities

• Guide and advise the team through each stage of the software development lifecycle.
• Lead developers and teams in building with Angular.
• Study user and business needs, then plan and design software systems that meet them.
• Produce detailed models and diagrams that show programmers the code an application needs.
• Write analysis reports on project specifications, activities and status.
• Mentor less experienced analysts when needed.
• Consult across programs and contracts within the division when needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Angular and Java, plus working knowledge of AWS and Java tooling.
• Ability to build and deliver solutions in a geographically dispersed team.
• Experience on a Scrum team following Lean Agile practices.
• Regular peer reviews and other routine quality assurance work.
• Experience with Git and Jenkins.
• Proven experience designing and building web services.
• Experience with continuous integration, test automation and DevOps.
• Comfort working in Linux environments.
• Ability to turn formal and informal system requirements into complex application interfaces.
• Knowledge of JDBC, ODBC or direct database interfaces, required to develop in this environment.
• Preferred: Experience building microservices.
• Preferred: Experience on a government customer's architecture or engineering board.
• Preferred: Experience delivering AWS cloud solutions.
• Preferred: Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Preferred: Experience with distributed data architectures.
• Preferred: Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: Experience developing Puppet modules and Terraform configurations.
• Preferred: Commitment to tracking industry trends and new technologies to keep your skills current.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS services and AWS environments.
• US citizenship is required.

Conditions

You must currently hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI access and a polygraph, and be able to obtain it if you do not.

The role is onsite at the customer site in Herndon, Virginia, USA, on a regular, full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Travel is expected for less than 10% of the time.

The likely salary range is $170,000 - $230,000. Pay depends on experience, location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range. It is not a guaranteed figure.
