Description

The company is hiring a hands-on Software Developer/Configurator to design, build, test, implement and support OneStream and EPM applications and related software. The role suits someone who likes turning business requirements into code that is easy to maintain and can grow, and who can work across the whole software development lifecycle.

The company is looking for strong programming experience in C and VB.NET, plus the ability to customize OneStream, create reusable solutions, troubleshoot hard problems and work with finance, functional and technology partners. Experience with enterprise performance management, planning, consolidation or similar platforms is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain OneStream applications, customizations, integrations and supporting software components.
  • Write, improve, debug and optimize production-quality code in C, VB and VB.NET, following sound object-oriented and software engineering practices.
  • Turn business and finance-planning requirements into technical designs, development tasks and dependable software.
  • Build reusable, flexible and globally compatible frameworks and components that make EPM solutions easier to maintain and scale.
  • Take part in every stage of development: requirements analysis, technical design, coding, code review, testing, deployment, documentation and post-release support.
  • Investigate defects and production issues, find root causes, and deliver lasting fixes and performance gains.
  • Work with functional teams, project managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and help the business adopt them.
  • Help shape coding standards, development methods, technical documentation, test plans and knowledge sharing.
  • Guide and mentor other developers, encouraging clean code, solid testing and steady improvement.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM field, computer science, information technology or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of overall experience in planning development, software development or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional software development experience in C and VB.NET, with the ability to read, write, debug, enhance and support code in both.
  • Working knowledge of software fundamentals: object-oriented design, coding standards, testing, troubleshooting, version control and technical documentation.
  • Extensive knowledge of finance planning and consolidation processes.
  • Experience with VBA and finance data warehouse analytics.
  • Knowledge of SAP, GitHub, Azure Databricks and Power BI.
  • Ability to build reusable, flexible and globally compatible technical frameworks and architecture.
  • Nice to have: hands-on OneStream application development experience.
  • Nice to have: experience with enterprise planning and EPM technologies such as OneStream, Oracle, Hyperion, Hyperion Planning, PBCS, EPBCS or Essbase.
  • Preferred: experience delivering software enhancements, integrations and customizations in OneStream or comparable EPM platforms.
  • Preferred: proven ability to design and lead maintainable solutions in C and VB.NET.
  • Preferred: experience with code reviews, automated or structured testing, release activities and production support.
  • Preferred: strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: experience with AI-assisted IDE tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Glean or Claude.
  • Preferred: ability to work independently, contribute within a cross-functional team and mentor junior developers.
  • Preferred: ability to deliver quality software in a fast-moving setting with tight timelines.
  • Curious and resourceful, and willing to work across development, troubleshooting, support and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Quick to learn new technologies and apply software engineering practices in an enterprise EPM setting.
  • A team player who communicates clearly and owns the delivery of reliable solutions.
