Description

The company is listed on the NYSE under the ticker P. It started as a storage vendor and now sells a broader data platform. It closed fiscal 2026 with $3.7 billion in revenue, its first quarter above $1 billion, and expects growth to speed up in FY27.

The company's customers and partners include hyperscalers, AI labs, suppliers of AI hardware, data platform providers and other companies across the AI ecosystem.

The Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for reliability, observability and incident management on the internal engineering platform. Product teams build and run their services on it.

Responsibilities

  • Define how reliability is measured across the platform, and run the operational work that keeps the shared services dependable.
  • As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Prague, you will own the reliability of a group of platform services from end to end and lead one or more organisation-wide reliability programmes.
  • Set technical direction in your area, guide less experienced engineers, and work with product teams and with SRE colleagues at the company's other engineering sites.
  • Work with service owners to set service level objectives, and design how they are measured and reported. Own the reliability indicators the organisation tracks, including time to detect and time to recover, and use them to set priorities and build the case for reliability work with engineering leadership.
  • Set the direction for one consistent pipeline for metrics, logs and alerts across the company's data centres and public cloud. Improve how quickly problems are detected and how good alerts are across teams, and define the standards service owners build against.
  • Join the on-call rotation and act as incident commander for major incidents. Lead blameless postmortems, track their actions to completion, and improve the incident process around ownership, escalation, communication and review.
  • Own the architecture and daily operation of the messaging, caching, database and continuous integration services the platform relies on. Lead their move to highly available designs, covering redundancy, capacity planning, upgrade strategy and tested recovery procedures.
  • Find the biggest sources of operational toil and lead the engineering work to remove them. Help decide how AI is used for incident triage and remediation, including the safeguards for automated actions, and measure how it affects recovery time.
  • Run design and production-readiness reviews for new and changed services, set the reliability standards product teams must meet, and coach engineers across teams on reliability practice.
  • Mentor engineers on the team, review designs and code changes, and represent the team's reliability work to partner teams and leadership.
  • This role is primarily in the office. You will work from the Prague office under the company's policies, except during PTO, work travel or other approved leave.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in software, platform or site reliability engineering, including end-to-end ownership of production systems and on-call duty for critical services.
  • Solid software engineering skills in a language such as Python or Go, with experience building operational tooling at platform scale.
  • Hands-on experience running distributed systems on Linux and Kubernetes, using infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines across multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Experience running stateful services such as databases, caches or message brokers, with a focus on high availability, disaster recovery and automated failover.
  • Proven ability to define SLOs and error budgets, lead blameless postmortems, and set technical direction across engineering teams.

Conditions

Based in the Prague office and working on site, in line with company policy, except during PTO, work travel or other approved leave.

The company is an equal opportunity employer.

Benefits

  • Flexible time off to help you keep a healthy work-life balance.
  • Wellness resources.
  • Company-sponsored team events.
