Description

This is a hybrid role. You will spend on average 2 days per week in a company office.

The company helps businesses connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, across edge devices and cloud.

The job sits in the global Sales organization. You will keep lab environments, customer proof of concepts (POCs), demos and technical validation platforms working, alongside Sales Engineers, account teams and customers, to show what the company's networking solutions can do.

The ideal person pairs technical aptitude with a customer-first approach and enjoys solving problems that speed up sales and improve customer experience. You will support lab operations, demo environments, automation work and customer-facing technical activity while building skills in networking, infrastructure, virtualization and cloud.

Success is measured by customer and Sales Engineer satisfaction, POC and demo availability, speed of lab provisioning and issue resolution, support of evaluations and validations, adoption of automation and operational gains, documentation quality and knowledge sharing, and how well you handle routine sales-support requests on your own.

Job family: Sales. Job level: TCP01.

Responsibilities

  • Keep physical and virtual lab infrastructure ready for sales opportunities.
  • Check that lab resources meet business and customer timelines.
  • Confirm lab readiness before demonstrations and testing.

  • Help Sales Engineers run demos and POCs, and join customer-facing technical work and troubleshooting.
  • Help with software upgrades, hardware installs and environment refreshes.
  • Respond to lab incidents that affect customers or sales, and troubleshoot infrastructure, networking and virtualization problems.
  • Work with senior engineers on complex technical challenges.
  • Write up fixes and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Write basic automation scripts and tools, and cut manual work through workflow automation to speed up lab deployment and customer response.
  • Suggest improvements to operations and the customer experience.
  • Work with Sales, Product, Engineering and Support, join escalations and solution validation, and build custom lab setups for strategic accounts.
  • Build working relationships with internal stakeholders and field teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, virtualization and operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and a service-minded approach to customers.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take part in customer-facing work.
  • Preferred: exposure to networking technologies and protocols.
  • Preferred: experience with VMware, Linux, Windows or cloud platforms.
  • Preferred: basic scripting in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
  • Preferred: experience supporting labs, demonstrations, internships or customer environments.
  • Preferred: interest in pre-sales engineering or customer success roles.
