Signalling Functional Design Engineer

The team is hiring a Signalling Functional Design Engineer. You will work on your own initiative in a quick-moving setting and move between administrative and strategic tasks.

The role is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver signalling designs for projects on time and within budget, including the design documentation.
• Lead design reviews to find errors and make sure they are corrected.
• Carry out detailed hardware design, producing documents and drawings and supporting development, integration, testing and maintenance.
• Set up hardware, including installing operating systems, building automated installs and integrating software, and find and fix faults in lab and production units.
• Produce and check configuration documents, then deliver sub-systems or software configurations for medium and small signalling schemes.
• Make sure requirements are met through design and testing against the allocated project requirements.
• Keep input data, configuration documents and executable files issued and controlled under company processes.
• Define and run integration lab tests before executable files of configured sub-systems are handed over.
• Control design documents according to company processes.

Requirements

• A degree in electrical, electronic or computer engineering, or in information technology.
• More than 5 years of professional experience in signalling design.
• Skill at creating value with a strong focus on the market and customers.
• A record of excelling at assigned objectives.
• Ability to drive innovation and manage change.

Conditions

Full-time position based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This is not a remote role.
