ServiceNow Technical Consultant

Description

You design, configure and build ServiceNow solutions that turn business requirements into sound, scalable technical setups. You weigh whether standard configuration is enough or custom work is justified, following ServiceNow best practice. You also coach junior colleagues and point out risks, dependencies and improvements within your scope.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement ServiceNow solutions to meet business and functional needs.
• Turn business needs into detailed technical designs.
• Build customizations and integrations with third-party systems, including REST, SOAP and file-based transfers.
• Test and document customizations, including unit tests and structured test approaches.
• Support platform upgrades and ongoing application maintenance.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on technical and functional topics.
• Spot risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities in your scope and raise them early.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow configuration and development.
• Solid knowledge of ServiceNow administration, App Engine and customization practices.
• Working proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, business rules, script includes and UI policies.
• Proven unit testing experience and familiarity with structured testing methods.
• Comfortable working both out-of-the-box and with tailored customizations.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, plus English, with clear communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
• Customer-focused and quality-driven.
• Self-directed with a proactive attitude.
• Agile, adaptable and collaborative.
• Experience with Service Portal, Employee Center and Agent Workspace.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
• Experience in greenfield implementations built from scratch.
• Familiarity with middleware integrations such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi and Kafka.
• A plus: experience with AI on the ServiceNow platform, such as Now Assist or Control Tower, shown through concrete examples.
