ServiceNow Business Analyst (HRSD)

This ServiceNow Business Analyst role supports ServiceNow implementations on the Hadlock contract.

You will run business analysis for these implementations, bringing structured process insight to requirements, process improvement, and user adoption.

You will work with functional and technical stakeholders using current process improvement methods. Your responsibility for requirements definition, stakeholder engagement, and solution validation grows over time within Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements in sessions with stakeholders and record business needs and process requirements.
• Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria for Agile sprints.
• Produce process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Compare current processes with the desired future state to identify gaps.
• Lead workshops and working sessions with business users and technical teams.
• Understand requirements thoroughly, then use best practices and deep ServiceNow knowledge to design solutions that fit business processes and meet or exceed functional requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing by writing test cases, coordinating execution, and validating defects.
• Document business rules, workflow logic, and configuration requirements for technical builders.
• Work with ServiceNow developers so requirements are translated correctly into technical solutions.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Run solution demonstrations and validation sessions with stakeholders.
• Keep requirements traceability matrices that track each requirement through implementation.
• Support change management, including training materials and user communication.

Requirements

• Required: 4 years of business analysis experience with hands-on ServiceNow requirements definition and process analysis.
• Preferred: federal government experience.
• Required: an active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a polygraph.
• Preferred: ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow CSA, CBAP, PMI PBA, or other business analysis certifications.

Conditions

Based in the Northern Virginia area, with onsite work at the contractor facility 4 to 5 days per week.

Under local law, the base pay range of $86,400 - $176,200 USD applies in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Pay varies by office location, role, skill set, and experience.
