Description

The company makes powersports vehicles, including side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, moto-roadsters, electric vehicles and boats. It was founded in 1954, is headquartered in Minnesota and serves customers in more than 100 countries.

This role sits within the service function for the off-road crossover and ATV lines. You will work with the relevant business unit, engineering and central service teams to match service readiness and support to business, dealer and customer needs. You will use an engineering background to make products easier to service, connect service with engineering, and run field campaigns for these lines, with real ownership of service strategy, product development input and field quality across many teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own service strategy, readiness and support for the assigned product lines, and align non-technical service plans with business unit priorities.
  • Represent service in product development programs and product-line team meetings, giving input on serviceability, simpler designs and ease of maintenance.
  • Work with design, quality and manufacturing engineering to remove service problems early in design, and drive action plans for new and current product issues.
  • Run field campaigns from start to finish, handling all project management under the Bulletin Field Execution Process and building cost-effective plans to fix field issues.
  • Help the global technical service team solve dealer problems, and mentor teammates as a peer leader.
  • Keep product issue communication flowing with technical service, warranty, customer service, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, legal and quality.
  • Assess parts supply risk and field quality impact, and push resolution with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute strategic and technical content to owner, service and parts manuals, dealer training and other technical product resources.
  • Lead development of special service tools and make sure the company's digital diagnostic software supports new and current products.
  • Represent service in post-sales surveillance, help with escalated dealer and customer questions, and keep current on products, dealer operations, diagnostic technology and engineering processes.
  • Find and lead continuous-improvement and standardization projects.
  • Desired competency: Collaboration. Work well across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting other views.
  • Desired competency: Technical and functional expertise. Apply the knowledge your role needs and stay current in your area.
  • Desired competency: Problem solving. Spot issues, find root causes and build practical fixes that balance speed, quality and risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, automotive, manufacturing or a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience, especially with snowmobile powertrains and systems.
  • Proven project management across stakeholders at several organizational levels.
  • Strong skill at building networks and relationships and influencing decisions at every leadership level.
  • Strong analytical, data interpretation and problem-solving skills, plus the drive to find and act on issues on your own initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data presentation, with an interest in adopting new technology.
  • Working knowledge of dealership retail service operations.
  • Preferred: manufacturing-environment experience and in-depth knowledge of the snowmobile industry and products.
  • Able to work in a general office across the Twin Cities offices, interact significantly with dealers and customers, and carry a heavy workload during field campaigns.
