Description

About Tessera Labs

Tessera is an AI-native platform for enterprise transformation. The multi-agent platform delivers governed execution across ERP, CRM, HCM, and finance systems, cutting timelines from years to weeks and costs by more than half. Built on deep expertise across Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Workday, and other systems of record, Tessera address the scope a system integrator would have traditionally taken up with the speed of execution and efficiency of an AI-native platform.

For decades, enterprises have struggled with fragmented business systems, where migrations have consumed hundreds of millions of dollars, data stayed inconsistent and unreliable, and business processes slowed under manual review. Tessera was founded to change that, for SAP and every other system enterprises depend on. The name itself — a tessera, a single tile in a mosaic — reflects our mission: unifying the disparate pieces of the enterprise into a coherent whole. Tessera is an AI-powered, multi-agent platform that harmonizes systems and lets teams work in plain English.

Our mission: Modernize global enterprises safely, automatically, and at unprecedented speed. We move fast, own outcomes end-to-end, and build at the frontier of applied AI for large-scale transformation.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in delivery and value stream management to lead our most strategic customer implementations. In this role, you are not just a project scheduler. You are the delivery leader who directs cross-functional pods across multiple parallel workstreams, making sure Tessera’s multi-agent AI solutions are integrated predictably, safely, and successfully into complex enterprise environments, and that every phase of the engagement delivers measurable value.

You will be the bridge between Tessera and enterprise client’s delivery team spanning core business systems, ERP, CRM, finance, HR, and operational platforms. The role calls for strong technical fluency across enterprise architectures, business processes, integrations, and transformation programs.

You will work closely with customer Solution Architects, technical teams, system owners, and business stakeholders, translating operational and technical requirements into actionable plans for Tessera’s delivery pods. You will use your understanding of enterprise modernization to guide issue resolution, support architecture discussions, and keep every workstream aligned on what is required, technically feasible, and most valuable to the customer.

The ideal candidate has spent years leading delivery within System Integrator environments or large enterprises and wants to apply AI to accelerate modernization at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Delivery Pod Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional delivery pods of Forward-Deployed Engineers, Data Engineers, and AI engineering teams, setting priorities, removing blockers, and holding the team accountable to outcomes
  • Own end-to-end delivery of multi-agent AI modernization programs from discovery through deployment and operational handoff
  • Build pod structures, cadences, and operating rhythms that scale across multiple concurrent customer engagements
  • Anticipate technical friction points related to data structures, legacy customizations, integrations, and workflow orchestration before they affect the pod’s velocity
  • Multi-Workstream Orchestration
  • Run multiple parallel workstreams across data, integration, AI agent configuration, testing, and business process alignment, managing dependencies and sequencing between them
  • Coordinate across Tessera teams, customer stakeholders, and third-party vendors to maintain delivery momentum across every workstream
  • Develop integrated program plans that give leadership a single view of progress, risk, and value across all workstreams
  • Support modernization efforts spanning core business systems, CRM, finance, HRIS, and operational platforms
  • Delivery & Value Stream Management
  • Map customer value streams end to end, identifying where Tessera’s agentic AI capabilities remove manual effort, shorten cycle times, and reduce cost
  • Define and track delivery and value metrics such as time-to-value, throughput, cycle time, and business outcomes achieved, and report them to executive stakeholders
  • Prioritize work by business value, so the highest-impact capabilities reach customers first
  • Continuously improve delivery flow by identifying bottlenecks, handoff delays, and waste across the program
  • Technical Communication & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Act as the primary technical interpreter between customer technical teams, business stakeholders, and Tessera’s AI and product organizations
  • Lead discovery workshops to map system landscapes, business processes, data flows, and integration points to Tessera’s agentic AI capabilities
  • Translate technical trade-offs, delivery plans, and value outcomes for both executive stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Facilitate alignment across enterprise architecture, IT operations, security, and business functions
  • Execution in Complex Enterprise Landscapes
  • Drive Agile delivery within enterprise change management frameworks and modernization methodologies
  • Anticipate risks related to legacy system remediation, data harmonization, integration dependencies, and business continuity
  • Develop mitigation plans grounded in operational and technical realities
  • Enterprise-Grade Governance & Deployment
  • Ensure all delivery activities meet enterprise standards for security, compliance, auditability, and operational governance
  • Oversee technical prerequisites for integrations across enterprise platforms and cloud environments
  • Partner with customer security and infrastructure teams to ensure successful deployments and operational readiness
  • Customer Engagement & Escalation Management
  • Serve as the primary delivery contact during onboarding and implementation
  • Manage technical escalations from customer IT and business teams, coordinating responses across pods, engineering, and product
  • Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers through clear communication, accountability, and consistent delivery
  • Startup Mindset & Extreme Ownership
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities and ambiguous challenges
  • Bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex enterprise transformation programs
  • Travel to customer sites for workshops, solution design sessions, and implementation oversight as needed
  • Required Qualifications
  • 4–6+ years of experience leading technical delivery for large enterprise modernization or transformation programs
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional delivery teams or pods through complex, technically demanding implementations
  • Demonstrated experience running multiple concurrent workstreams with significant dependencies
  • Experience mapping and managing value streams, and tying delivery work to measurable business outcomes
  • Comfort defining, tracking, and reporting delivery and value metrics to executive audiences
  • Strong understanding of enterprise business systems, integrations, data flows, and modernization challenges
  • Experience with one or more enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, APIs, middleware, and cross-platform integrations
  • Ability to explain technical concepts, system constraints, integration challenges, and data models to both engineering teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong command of Agile methodologies and experience orchestrating complex programs with multiple dependencies
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at a top-tier consulting or system integration firm (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, EY, IBM, Capgemini), or leading large enterprise modernization programs internally
  • Experience delivering AI/ML-enabled programs, or strong interest in LLMs, automation, and multi-agent AI orchestration
  • Familiarity integrating ERP and other core systems with adjacent platforms including CRM, HRIS, finance, analytics, middleware, and cloud infrastructure
  • PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, value stream management, enterprise platform certifications, or related certifications are a plus
  • Behavioral & Problem-Solving Expectations
  • Balance technical systems understanding with program structure and executive communication
  • Lead pods with clarity, accountability, and a bias toward outcomes over activity
  • Operate with extreme ownership and thrive in ambiguity
  • Simplify complexity and drive alignment across technical and business teams
  • Keep a strong customer-first, value-first mindset throughout complex transformation programs
