Description

The company is a global real estate services firm that serves property occupiers and owners, with a presence in the Netherlands.

This senior role sets hiring direction across EMEA. You will lead a small team of talent acquisition advisors and answer for hiring results in a varied, fast-moving business.

The ideal person knows the real estate sector well and has hands-on experience in direct sourcing and headhunting. You can find and win over scarce talent in tight markets, acting as both a strategic partner to the business and a practical recruiter who raises the bar for proactive hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, grow and manage a small team of talent acquisition advisors, building a results-focused culture.
  • Take full ownership of recruitment for key functions in the Netherlands, balancing quality, speed and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Set performance targets, KPIs and ongoing improvement projects for the recruitment function.
  • Work with senior leaders to understand staffing needs and turn them into hiring plans.
  • Supply market data, talent analysis and hiring advice that shapes business decisions.
  • Run workforce planning and forecast future talent requirements.
  • Personally lead complex and senior searches using advanced headhunting methods.
  • Map target employers and talent pools to find and approach passive candidates.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of hard-to-find, high-quality talent.
  • Use a mix of sourcing tools, networks and approaches, including LinkedIn, market mapping, referrals and industry engagement.
  • Model consultative, insight-led headhunting for the team.
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers and leadership teams.
  • Advise on hiring strategy, candidate assessment and how roles are positioned in the market.
  • Deliver a top-tier candidate experience in keeping with the company brand.
  • Streamline recruitment processes for efficiency, compliance and scale.
  • Use data to guide recruitment decisions and lift performance.
  • Contribute to employer branding suited to the local market.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in talent acquisition, ideally in professional services, real estate or commercial settings.
  • A track record of successful headhunting and direct sourcing, especially for complex or niche roles.
  • Skill in identifying and engaging passive talent in competitive markets.
  • Experience managing and developing recruitment teams.
  • A strategic outlook and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • A data-led approach with experience using recruitment metrics and insights.
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is beneficial, though not essential, depending on scope.
  • You are a true headhunter: curious, persistent and highly skilled at uncovering hidden talent.
  • You thrive in hands-on leadership, balancing delivery with strategy.
  • You bring commercial judgement and understand how hiring affects business performance.
  • You enjoy building teams and raising recruitment standards.

Conditions

Scope covers EMEA, with delivery focused on the Netherlands.

The company is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that considers all qualified candidates regardless of ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, marital status or any other legally protected characteristic.
