Description

The company builds defense systems, from concept and architecture through development and deployment, using new technologies to produce first-of-a-kind systems. Its programs aim for reliable, cost-efficient capabilities that work in real operating conditions and timelines.

The role is a senior systems integration and test engineer in the Woburn, MA office, supporting integration and test of advanced multi-function RF systems. You will work with domain experts in sensors, data analytics and cyber security, and with development teams on system testing in both a SIL environment and in the field. Agile experience is desired. The role suits someone with DoD system experience who wants hands-on testing and fielding of new systems. Hardware-focused and software-focused candidates are both welcome.

The company is adopting Digital Engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering. You will work with systems engineers to bring integration and test processes and artifacts into the DE workflow, using MBSE tools to capture verification design and link to external tools where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work with domain experts, development teams and systems engineers to design hardware test sets and write test software.
  • Carry out hands-on integration in hardware labs and field-test environments, confirming that software and hardware meet the specification once integrated.
  • Prepare and present briefings, and take part in technical reviews such as SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS and TRRs.
  • Write and run test plans and procedures.
  • Record and report test results and metrics.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of I&T experience.
  • Proficiency in testing RF systems and in automated test tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW.
  • Proficiency in bash scripting and Linux.
  • Familiarity with containerized software, Ansible, Podman/Docker, unit test frameworks and Artifactory.
  • Familiarity with C/C++.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo (MagicDraw), Sparx Enterprise Architect or IBM Rational Rhapsody.
  • Familiarity with government open architectures, such as Open Mission Systems.
  • Travel is required.
  • Desirable: domain expertise in one or more of Radar, Electronic Warfare, Antenna Apertures, Sensor Resource Management, Sea/Air/Space, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, or Open System Architectures (UCI, OMS, COARPS).

Conditions

Full-time role with a salary range of $138,000 to $185,000, based on external market data.
