Description

Information systems play a central role in national security, supporting situational awareness, strategic planning, and tactical operations. Their reliability and capability can shape how conflicts unfold.

The company's Systems Development Division builds advanced technology that gives an edge in the information domain. The division takes each solution through every stage, from early concept and architecture through development to deployment, using new technologies to create systems that have not existed before. Current work includes airborne and space RF programs and advanced multi-function, multi-modal testing.

In this role you will work with the software team to build continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for software that combines embedded RF systems, signal processing, and radar, mainly for Air-to-Air applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build, run, and improve every phase of the DevSecOps process and its toolchain, from development through deployment, maintenance, and operation.
  • Support DevSecOps pipelines in both unclassified and classified environments, using a range of code quality tools.
  • Set up and maintain development and DevOps environments at several classification levels, with attention to developer productivity, application performance, and security monitoring and alerting.
  • Work with stakeholders to keep team infrastructure configured, maintained, and reliable, meeting program requirements and DoD standards.
  • Teach team members DevSecOps practices while steadily automating and refining processes.
  • Find weak spots in current workflows and put improvements in place.
  • Write up pipeline architecture, tools, and the steps users follow to change and update pipelines.
  • Promote DevOps and DevSecOps across the team and help the software team with tooling, environments, debugging, and testing.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • You must be able to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • You hold a BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • You have hands-on experience with DevSecOps pipelines, preferably on a DoD development effort.
  • You have worked with cloud providers such as AWS or Azure in IL4, IL5, or IL6 environments.
  • You are proficient with build, continuous integration, and continuous deployment tools such as Bazel, CMake, GCC, GitLab, Jenkins, GTest, GCov, clang-tools, and others.
  • You are comfortable working in Linux and Windows.
  • You have experience with containers and orchestration, such as Docker, WSL, Podman, Kubernetes, Swarm, and Rancher.
  • You are familiar with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Coverity, Syft, Grype, Artifactory Xray with advanced Security, Semgrep, and Anchore, and with secure design, coding, and analysis practices.
  • You are familiar with configuration and deployment management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
  • You are familiar with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
  • You understand networking concepts and security protocols, and can configure and manage network security for development environments and tooling.
  • You write strong scripts to build, maintain, and document automation and to connect tools together.
  • You know automation frameworks and tools that cut repetitive work and manage complex workflows.
  • You are familiar with Atlassian Confluence, Jira, and MS Office 365.
  • Even Better: you hold an active security clearance.
  • Even Better: you hold an advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Even Better: you have domain expertise in one or more of Electronic Warfare, Antenna Apertures, Sensor Resource Management, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, or Open System Architectures (UCI, OMS, COARPS).
