Description

The company is modernizing how its systems exchange data, and this role sits on the software and core IT side of that transformation.

You will design, build, and scale integrations and data pipelines that link Google Workspace, SaaS platforms, enterprise AI tools, and the company's core business systems.

The work is independent: you will handle complex solutions, turn business and technical needs into workable designs, and deliver production-ready pipelines that meet enterprise standards.

You will work with product, engineering, TPM, security, and business teams to keep data flowing reliably, keep workflows running, and make platforms work together.

Responsibilities

  • Create reusable GCP-native integration templates, accelerators, and reference implementations so transformation pods avoid repeating engineering work.
  • Keep integration architectures in line with enterprise data standards, identity guidelines, and security policies.
  • Work with Security, Privacy, Identity, and Information Lifecycle Management teams to secure workflows that handle regulated or sensitive data.
  • Assess incoming integration requests and recommend whether to use standard SaaS configuration, GCP-native services, or custom engineering.
  • Build and maintain APIs, webhooks, and middleware pipelines that connect GCP with Workday, ServiceNow, and core internal systems.
  • Specify source-to-destination mappings, transformation logic, exception handling, and monitoring that keep operations reliable.
  • Replace legacy and Microsoft-dependent interfaces with scalable, event-driven, Google-aligned patterns.
  • Build end-to-end workflows that move data and trigger actions across HR, IT, and internal enterprise systems.
  • Design coexistence approaches so Microsoft, GCP, and internal environments work together through phased migration waves.
  • Plan data cutover sequencing, permission checks, metadata mapping, and post-deployment stabilization to limit business disruption.
  • Work with product leads and TPMs to build GCP-native integration into day-to-day operational processes.
  • Lead technical design reviews, give architecture guidance, and set engineering practice across the program.
  • Produce technical designs, dependency maps, runbooks, and handover materials that support long-term sustainment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in integration engineering, platform architecture, enterprise application integration, or software engineering within complex corporate environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building enterprise pipelines with Google Cloud integration products such as Apigee, Google Cloud Application Integration, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
  • Proven record of mapping dependencies across SaaS applications, data layers, identity services, and business processes in large enterprises.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid technical knowledge of connecting GCP with Workday and ServiceNow through REST or SOAP APIs, web services, and integration hubs.
  • Production-level Python and core scripting or automation skills.
  • Extensive work with REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
  • Good grasp of Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging distributed integration issues across hybrid environments.
  • Deep knowledge of identity and access frameworks such as GCP IAM, OAuth2, SAML, and OIDC.
  • Track record of working well with product managers, engineers, TPMs, security leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Able to communicate clearly in writing and speech, explaining trade-offs, architectural risks, and engineering decisions to non-technical colleagues.
  • Preferred: active professional-level Google Cloud certification, such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Integration Engineer.
  • Preferred: direct experience with a large Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migration or coexistence program.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Google Workspace administration, Workspace APIs, Google Apps Script, and AppSheet.
  • Preferred: experience connecting enterprise workflows to data and AI tools such as Gemini Enterprise, BigQuery, Dataflow, Glean, Slack, and Databricks.
  • Preferred: familiarity with corporate data retention, ILM, privacy frameworks, and regulated data controls.
  • Preferred: experience with automated testing, complex cutover planning, data validation, hypercare, and long-term sustainment models.
