Description

Moveworks, now part of the company, builds an agentic AI layer that sits between employees and the systems they use. Since the acquisition, the Moveworks Business Unit is one of the company's most strategically important investments, and its scope is growing quickly.

The company is hiring a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to run the most critical programs end to end, beginning with the company integration and expanding into a wider portfolio as the business unit grows.

This is a senior, hands-on technical individual contributor role for someone whose career has centred on infrastructure, platform modernization, or large-scale distributed systems programs. You will run programs directly and win influence through technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to get engineering leaders, executives, and partner teams onto one execution plan. Your scope will grow along with the Moveworks BU.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Moveworks Infrastructure portfolio of strategic and technical initiatives, driving the roadmap and execution plans for them.
  • As the program scales, take over infrastructure operational processes from engineering, such as capacity planning and budgeting.
  • Lead initiatives that expand the MW Infra footprint. The company is moving to a tri-cloud, on-prem, and SPC strategy, so you will build the tools and processes to manage the infrastructure stack across these varied environments.
  • Turn unclear strategic direction into concrete milestones, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Act as the connecting point across engineering, product, design, security, GTM, finance, and field organizations, driving outcomes through clear communication, structured decisions, and steady follow-through. You manage the program, not the people.
  • Catch misalignment across teams, architectures, and roadmaps early, before it becomes a delivery risk, and work with engineering leads to resolve it fast.
  • Lead architecture reviews and raise cross-system risks such as latency budgets, blast radius, multi-tenancy, AI safety, and evals. Negotiate tradeoffs between engineering teams.
  • Build the program's operating system: status, risk, scope, and decision logs that engineering directors and VPs actually use, quarterly planning that matches reality, and candid executive updates.
  • Work as a senior partner to engineering leadership, pairing with Distinguished Engineers, VPs of Engineering, and product leaders. Present the program to the CTO, CPO, and executive staff and own the message.
  • Set the standard for senior technical program management at Moveworks as the TPM team grows. Mentor TPMs across the organization without managing them, and turn the approaches that work into repeatable practice.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of technical program management experience, mostly on infrastructure, platform, cloud, reliability, developer productivity, or modernization programs, at staff, principal, or director IC level.
  • You have handled programs where the difficulty was technical: understanding dependencies, sequencing migrations, managing reliability risk, and helping engineering leaders make lasting tradeoffs, not just coordinating work.
  • Solid technical knowledge of infrastructure modernization, including distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, multi-region and multi-cloud architectures, AWS, Azure, GCP, identity, data platforms, observability, reliability, and migration strategy. You do not need to be the architect, but you must be able to test plans, spot cross-system risk, and earn the trust of senior engineers.
  • Experience with agentic AI, conversational AI, or AI assistant platforms, and an understanding that agent runtimes, tool calling, RAG, and evals are distinct problems.
  • A record of leading cross-organization programs with 100+ engineers, multiple VPs, and competing roadmaps, preferably including at least one large integration, migration, or platform unification.
  • Strong writing. You can condense a 200-engineer program into a one-page executive narrative without distorting it, and write decision documents that survive close review.
  • Sound technical judgment when the path is unclear. You know when to dig in, when to hand work to engineering leads, and when to escalate, and you are willing to say a plan will not work in front of senior leaders.
  • Strongly preferred: prior senior IC TPM experience at a hyperscaler, large SaaS platform, or AI-first company.
  • Strongly preferred: experience across SaaS, on-prem regulated, and government cloud deployment models, including FedRAMP and IL5.
  • Strongly preferred: experience leading post-acquisition technical integration programs at scale.

Conditions

First quarter: understand the Moveworks replatform roadmap, drive the execution plan for the first release, and help the team clear blockers. Engineering leaders across the company and Moveworks should trust your judgment and bring you into key decisions.

Second quarter: run several parallel releases on the replatforming roadmap alongside current infrastructure expansion and improvement work. Raise key risks early and drive mitigation. Executives should trust the plan because it is candid.

Quarters three and four: the team delivers one or two roadmap releases under your leadership, major milestones land on time and at quality, and you are a trusted partner to infrastructure leadership and the team.
