Description

The company is building AI systems and a repeatable process that turns high-value product data into compliant, secure assets that researchers can use for AI training and evaluation, while protecting users and keeping product commitments.

This is an individual contributor role in the company Lab that runs the day-to-day technical program work for moving high-value data through the full lifecycle, from request to acquisition, preparation, access, use, and refresh.

The role works across research, product, engineering, legal, privacy, security, Responsible AI, and data operations teams to keep complex data programs on track.

Responsibilities

  • Turn researcher needs into clear requirements, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria, and drive each program from intake to delivery.
  • Remove blockers in acquisition and access by working with product data owners, engineering, legal, privacy, security, Responsible AI, procurement, and external partners, and escalate decisions with brief context and suggested next steps.
  • Run the day-to-day technical relationship with source teams and data partners, covering data specifications, transfer methods, schemas, storage, access patterns, service expectations, issue resolution, and refresh commitments.
  • Keep evidence of source, authorization, provenance, lineage, consent or opt-out requirements, retention, deletion, and access controls, and confirm data is obtained and used only for approved purposes and within its restrictions.
  • Lead data preparation and fixes, including ingestion, scrubbing, de-identification, credential and PII removal, deduplication, filtering, quality checks, and validation against researcher requirements and compliance controls.
  • Set refresh schedules, watch freshness and delivery health, fix failures, validate replacement datasets, and make sure expired or disallowed data is removed when required.
  • Maintain program records and recurring routines, including status updates, decisions, risks, control evidence, issue logs, handoffs, and metrics on cycle time, quality, refresh reliability, compliance, and researcher readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data operations, or privacy-sensitive technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience running complex technical programs across several organizations, with many dependencies, set milestones, active risk management, and measurable results.
  • Experience with data pipelines and lifecycle operations, including acquisition, ingestion, transformation, quality validation, access, refresh, retention, and deletion.
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes without formal authority, build working relationships with technical teams, clarify unclear ownership, and communicate decisions and escalations clearly.
  • Working knowledge of AI training and evaluation data and its controls, including privacy, data protection, IP and licensing, security, Responsible AI, consent, provenance, lineage, access restrictions, de-identification, and permitted use.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, AI data operations, data governance, or privacy-sensitive products, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience delivering data programs with product, research, engineering, legal, privacy, security, Responsible AI, and platform teams in a large or highly regulated environment.
  • Preferred: strong technical judgment and written communication, with experience defining operational controls, troubleshooting data delivery issues, building scalable processes, and using metrics to improve cycle time, quality, compliance, and refresh reliability.
