Senior/Staff Software Engineer (Platform)

Description

You will join the Platform team at a global software company whose cloud platform helps electronics designers work together, from design through to market. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California, and is part of a larger group.

Your main focus is product development for complex cloud applications across more than 100 services.

The stack includes.NET Core,.NET Framework 4.8, MySQL, AWS, microservices, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes.

The company describes its platform as the first cloud-based tool to connect every stakeholder and stage of electronics development.

Responsibilities

• Build new cloud-native applications and scalable infrastructure.
• Apply AI and ML to make search more advanced.
• Process large data sets, model data, and design APIs around user intent.
• Work on stateful and stateless servers, relational databases, and ORM frameworks.
• Design and build new features for electronics engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of.NET experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one of: identity and authentication; access or license management; message queues or brokers; distributed caches; ElasticSearch or OpenSearch; relational database design and tuning; platform framework development; multi-tenancy; Rings Protection Model in cloud development.
• Proven record of building and running distributed, high-load systems, including profiling, optimisation, load testing and stress testing.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems that differ from typical market products, combining engineering software with cloud services.
• Ability to shape technical direction across several teams and lead architecture decisions.
• Experience setting engineering standards, best practices and technical governance across a platform.
• Experience with Firebird, Oracle, Postgres.
• Experience with Azure, GCP, AliCloud.
