Description

The company’s mission is to fix this by building a new mental healthcare system everyone can access. We started by solving the biggest barrier to care: insurance. The admin work - credentialing, claims, payment reconciliation - is a nightmare. We've automated that.

But we're going further. Over 90,000 providers across all 50 states run their practice on our software, serving over 2.6 million patients. We are building the best tools for therapists to run their entire practice, reimagining the experience of finding a therapist, and investing in the platform foundations to enable this at scale, and building much of it with AI. We aren't just a billing layer; we are becoming the platform where care actually happens.

We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.

About the role

Most patients open the company app about twice a week, almost always for logistics: join a session, message their provider, check an appointment. To them, the company is where care gets scheduled and billed. It isn't yet a product they want to open.

You'll be the PM for Home Base, the team dedicated to the company patient experience on native and web: the iOS app, our first Android app, and the logged-in web portal that every patient uses after they book. In 2027 the app becomes the front door to the company. When a patient has their phone in hand and thinks about their care, the company should be the first place they go.

This is a product and platform role. Other teams build key features into the app, including AI-powered between-session support, goals, reviews, and rematching. You own the experience they live in: what the app is, how it's organized, how it feels, and whether patients come back.

What you'll own:

The native app as home base. Turn the app from a passive list of appointments into a proactive home that tells patients what to do next. Own the information architecture, navigation, home screen, notifications, and messaging, and make everyday jobs like booking, rescheduling, insurance, and joining a session fast and native.

Use the whole app ecosystem. Bring the company beyond the app itself: widgets, Live Activities, voice assistants, health data, and modern sign-in. Decide when to build directly on platform SDKs and when a third-party integration or platform gets us there faster and works across iOS and Android.

Launch and grow Android. Ship our first Android app so platform is never why a patient leaves or a provider objects. Start with a solid basic app, then set the path toward parity.

A web portal we're proud of. Many patients will stay on the web. Audit the jobs patients do in the logged-in experience, remove the biggest sources of friction, and build a consistent path from web to the app. Decide native vs. web scope feature by feature.

The surface other teams build on. Give partner teams (AI Patient Experience, Search, Profiles, Visitor Growth) a coherent, well-defined place in the app. Set the patterns and interfaces, keep the experience consistent as many teams ship into it, and make the handoffs invisible to patients.

App foundations. Get the app to a level of quality we're proud to promote: reliability, performance, release infrastructure, deep linking, and attribution.

How we'll measure it: the share of active the company patients using the app on mobile for care (not just logistics), and how often they come back (daily and weekly engagement).

Who you'll work with

You'll work in the Home Base pod with an engineering manager, iOS, Android, and full-stack engineers, a Staff Product Designer, and a UX researcher. Your closest partner is the Staff PM for AI Patient Experience, whose features ship inside the app you own. You'll also work with Search, Profiles, Visitor Growth, Lifecycle Marketing, Product Marketing, Clinical Product, and Legal.

Requirements

  • You've built consumer mobile apps people come back to. You have 5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time on native apps where you owned engagement and retention, not just shipping features.
  • You know the mobile ecosystem. You understand what iOS, Android, and the tools around them make possible (widgets, Live Activities, health data, voice assistants) well enough to see where they create real value, not just novelty. You make good build-vs-buy calls between native SDKs and third-party platforms. You've launched on Android, or have a clear point of view on how to do it well.
  • You obsess over craft and friction. You can audit a flow, find the three things that actually matter, and fix them. You care about a 10-second interaction as much as a quarter-long roadmap.
  • You've owned a shared surface. You've run a platform, app shell, or core experience that other teams build into, and you're good at setting clear interfaces, saying no, and keeping things coherent.
  • You're data-driven. You set engagement and retention metrics that mean something, run experiments, and know when engagement is a proxy and when it's the goal.
  • You build in high-trust spaces. Healthcare, fintech, or similar. You treat privacy, consent, and accessibility as part of the product and partner with Legal and Clinical from the start.
  • You're AI-fluent in your own work, and comfortable making product calls on AI-powered features with your partners.
  • Comprehensive benefits:
  • Medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, 401(k) including match for 2027!, Carrot Fertility reimbursement, and paid parental, medical and caregiver leave.
  • A notice to the company applicants: To protect yourself against phishing and recruitment fraud, please note that the company only accepts applications through our official careers page at the company's site .
