Description

The company makes advanced digital power management products for AI, datacenter, and high-performance computing applications, and this role sits within that work.

You will lead the verification and evidence work for control-loop features and functions. The goal is to show that each feature behaves as intended across requirements, behavioral models, digital implementation, analog interactions, simulation, emulation, bench validation, and silicon.

You will turn feature intent into measurable test plans, set clear pass/fail criteria, build reusable verification methods, and match results across the different engineering environments.

The work demands solid knowledge of digital control loops, mixed-signal behavior, power-system dynamics, data analysis, and verification automation.

The strongest candidate pairs hands-on control-loop experience with disciplined verification and can find and resolve gaps between expected behavior, implementation results, and measured performance.

This work builds repeatable evidence that loop features work as intended, and it helps catch feature gaps and unexpected interactions before they reach products or customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead verification and evidence work for digital control-loop features and functions.
  • Turn requirements and system intent into measurable verification plans, test scenarios, and pass/fail criteria.
  • Verify loop behavior across operating conditions, configurations, limits, sequencing, and corner cases.
  • Write tests for compensation, stability, bandwidth, transient response, latency, sampling, quantization, saturation, limits, mode transitions, sensing, telemetry, and feature interactions.
  • Correlate feature behavior across behavioral models, RTL, analog and mixed-signal simulation, emulation, bench validation, and silicon measurements.
  • Assess how digital loop functions interact with analog parts such as sensing paths, ADCs, DACs, references, PWM generation, timing paths, and power stages.
  • Produce verification evidence covering test conditions, configurations, metrics, plots, waveforms, results, conclusions, and identified risks.
  • Build reusable automation for parameter sweeps, corner testing, waveform analysis, regression testing, and evidence generation.
  • Investigate differences between expected feature behavior and results from simulation, emulation, bench testing, or silicon.
  • Work with systems, analog design, digital design, firmware, design verification, validation, applications, and software and tool teams.
  • Identify missing requirements, test coverage, observability, or infrastructure needed to verify loop features.
  • Document test intent, assumptions, configurations, results, limitations, and residual risks for technical and leadership readers.
  • Mentor and advise engineers working on control-loop verification and validation.

Requirements

  • Required: bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Required: 8+ years of experience in digital power control, mixed-signal verification, semiconductor validation, systems engineering, power electronics, design verification, or related product development.
  • Required: strong grasp of feedback control, including compensation, stability, bandwidth, transient response, latency, sampling, quantization, saturation, and nonlinear behavior.
  • Required: experience verifying or validating control-loop features with measurable engineering evidence.
  • Required: strong knowledge of mixed-signal blocks such as ADCs, DACs, sensing paths, amplifiers, references, timing circuits, PWM paths, and power stages.
  • Required: experience writing test plans, test scenarios, pass/fail criteria, metrics, and technical evidence for complex electronic systems.
  • Required: can analyze waveforms and data, isolate behavioral differences, and link results to feature intent and implementation.
  • Required: can lead technically complex verification work independently, from requirements through final correlation and documentation.
  • Required: strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex loop behavior and verification results clearly.
  • Preferred: experience with digital multiphase controllers, DC/DC converters, voltage regulators, power management ICs, or high-current datacenter power applications.
  • Preferred: experience with model-to-silicon correlation, behavioral modeling, real-number modeling, Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog RNM, MATLAB, Python, SIMPLIS, or equivalent environments.
  • Preferred: experience with verification automation, data analysis, test infrastructure, dashboards, databases, or API-driven workflows.
  • Preferred: familiarity with control loops, stability, latency, quantization, noise, telemetry, and power-system measurement techniques.
  • Preferred: experience building reusable verification frameworks that improve quality and cut repeated manual test setup.

Conditions

The company is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer and does not discriminate on protected grounds.

The role involves dual-use technology subject to U.S. export controls, and the company may need a U.S. government export license before sharing technology with certain people.
