This role sits in the Global Presales Organization and reports to the Senior Director, Presales. The role is a senior solutions architect position focused on Cloud-as-a-Service, cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, storage, networking, automation and cloud migration.

You will be the technical expert and strategic adviser for customers, partners and internal teams. The best fit has hands-on engineering depth and presales skill, and can carry a solution from first concept through architecture, proof of concept, demo and production rollout.

Responsibilities

• Advise enterprise customers, partners and field sales teams as a trusted technical contact across the customer lifecycle.
• Learn customers' business goals, technical needs, application architectures and cloud transformation plans.
• Design end-to-end solutions using CaaS, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, storage, networking and automation.
• Run technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, whiteboard sessions and executive-level technical discussions.
• Give technical presentations and tailored demonstrations that show what the platform does and what it is worth to the customer.
• Help account teams build technical strategies, proposals, RFP and RFI responses, and solution positioning.
• Turn complex technical ideas into clear business outcomes for both technical and executive audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 8+ years in solutions architecture, systems engineering, cloud architecture, technical consulting, presales or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud-as-a-Service and cloud-native technologies.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and at least one major public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of storage technologies, distributed systems and persistent storage for cloud-native workloads.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native networking and Kubernetes networking.
• Hands-on experience building automation with tools such as Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, APIs or similar.
• Experience designing and delivering proofs of concept and customer demonstrations.
• Experience building automation frameworks for cloud, workload or infrastructure migration.
• Strong understanding of hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work well with both highly technical engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel globally for strategic customer engagements when required.
