Senior Software Engineer

Description

This role sits within the company's IT department and reports to IT management.

The work centres on Oracle SOA integration, from business process analysis through to production support.

Responsibilities

• Build design elements that follow the established Oracle SOA standards.
• Analyse business processes in depth and propose an Oracle SOA architecture.
• Estimate the effort needed for an Oracle SOA solution and design and prototype interfaces.
• Advise on Oracle SOA monitoring practices and teach them to team members.
• Help resolve current issues in Oracle SOA Suite 12c and support its stability and testing.
• Align development and testing work across teams during a project.
• Take part in system testing and deployment.
• Report on work assignments and progress to IT management.
• Support production systems and troubleshoot problems.
• Automate and streamline processes.
• Turn business requirements into implementations that meet department standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5 years as a software engineer, systems engineer, or in a similar role.
• 5 years building and unit testing web-based applications and middleware infrastructure.
• 5 years day-to-day operational support of Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Oracle SOA Suite.
• 5 years across the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing.
• 5 years administering Oracle Fusion Middleware: installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades.
• 5 years on large, complex integration projects on Oracle SOA Suite 12c, including BPEL, Mediator, Oracle WebLogic Server, HTTP, SOAP and REST web services.
• 5 years creating user roles and authentication and authorisation mechanisms in Oracle SOA.
• 5 years recommending and teaching Oracle Fusion Middleware monitoring practices.
• 5 years automating and optimising deployment of applications on SOA Suite.
• 5 years applying Oracle Fusion Middleware security patches, producing security compliance reports, and renewing and maintaining SSL certificates.
• 5 years tuning and monitoring application server performance.
• 5 years coordinating development and testing across teams, and taking part in system testing and deployment.
• 5 years estimating Oracle SOA effort, designing and prototyping interfaces, and implementing business requirements to department standards.
• 5 years reporting work assignments and status to IT management.

Conditions

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

You must be able to report to the local office.
