Description

The company GPU Architecture Group is hiring a senior software engineer to automate and improve performance analysis for AI training and inference workloads.

The work goes beyond running analysis: you will change how the analysis is done, building tools and workflows meant for a large group of engineers.

The company is a leader in optimizing AI workloads, and this role pushes that work further.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build performance analysis tools and workflows for AI training and inference workloads.
  • Develop integrations between profiling infrastructure and AI frameworks and workflows.
  • Turn the needs of AI performance engineers into tooling that scales and is easy to use.
  • Work with performance engineers, hardware architects, and software teams so profiling capabilities match real AI workloads.
  • Find performance bottlenecks in AI workloads and build automated ways to detect and diagnose them.

Requirements

  • An M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of AI workloads, frameworks, and performance behavior.
  • Experience building tools, workflows, or infrastructure that other engineers use.
  • Strong software development skills, with Python and C++ preferred.
  • Ability to turn user requirements into scalable tooling.
  • Up to date with AI-based tools for software development and performance analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for understanding engineers' problems and working across multiple functions.
  • Nice to have: experience profiling or optimizing AI training or inference pipelines at scale.
  • Nice to have: background building developer tools or platforms for ML engineers.
  • Nice to have: contributions to open-source AI tooling or frameworks.
