  • Raise code quality, testing, observability, reliability and operational practices across the team.
  • Guide teams through complex technical problems, sharpen decision-making, and help with planning and risk management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, or in an equivalent senior individual contributor role.
  • Deep background in data platforms, distributed systems and cloud-native architecture, including shaping technical direction across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on skills with AWS, Terraform, Kafka or MSK, Airflow, and Glue or Spark, and with building scalable data solutions.
  • Working knowledge of data lakes, lakehouse architectures, Iceberg or similar table formats, and both batch and streaming processing.
  • Familiarity with data quality, governance, cataloguing and observability tools such as Datadog. DBT or AI-assisted engineering practices are a plus.
