Description

The company provides wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking services to individuals, families, corporations and institutions worldwide.

Founded in 1889 and listed on Nasdaq, the company has over 135 years of financial experience and more than 24,000 employees. Its three guiding principles are Service, Expertise and Integrity.

This role focuses on designing, building and modernizing scalable enterprise applications. The work is API-first and cloud-native, with.NET (C#) backend services and React frontends, and security, performance, maintainability and sound engineering practice are central.

You will work with architects, product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver dependable software that meets enterprise standards and regulatory obligations.

Employees are encouraged to move between roles, and senior leaders are accessible. Giving time and talent to local communities is a core part of the company's culture.

Responsibilities

  • Backend: design, build and support RESTful APIs and services in.NET and ASP.NET Core using C#.
  • Apply clean architecture, including SOLID, DDD and CQRS, where they add real value.
  • Build data access with Entity Framework Core or similar tools, relying on stored procedures as little as possible.
  • Create systems that are secure, resilient, auditable and observable.
  • Help shape architecture decisions and write clear technical design documents.
  • Frontend: build modern, responsive interfaces in React and TypeScript.
  • Create reusable component libraries that meet UI/UX and accessibility standards.
  • Connect APIs securely and efficiently, covering authentication, authorization and error handling.
  • Improve frontend performance and the overall user experience.
  • Write unit and integration tests for frontend components.
  • Delivery: set up and improve CI/CD with tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Promote test-driven development and automated testing.
  • Take part in code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with DevOps, QA and platform teams to make deployments reliable.
  • Support production systems and help resolve incidents when needed.
  • Leadership: drive modern practices such as API-first design, cloud-native patterns, automation and reducing technical debt.
  • Guide and mentor engineers to build their skills and keep practices consistent across teams.
  • Spot technology risks, scalability problems and non-functional gaps early, and push for practical fixes.
  • Balance delivery needs with long-term platform health, maintainability and operational resilience.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong skills in C# and.NET / ASP.NET Core.
  • Proven track record building micro-frontends (MFEs) with React and TypeScript.
  • Solid knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP and API security.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
  • Containerization with Docker preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI SDLC; spec-driven development is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented design, clean code and refactoring.
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing and mocking frameworks.
  • Familiarity with event-driven and microservices architectures. Kafka or other messaging technologies are a plus.
  • Experience in agile delivery, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, structured communication.
  • Able to work well with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Preferred: knowledge of performance tuning, high-volume transaction processing and distributed systems.
  • Reflect the company's principles in daily work: put security, accountability, client trust and data protection first, collaborate across engineering, architecture, product, operations and risk, keep improving systems, own solutions end to end, build in controls, logging and documentation for audit needs, and choose technology for scalability and lasting client outcomes.
