Description

The company is the global leader in licensed sports merchandise. It runs a vertically integrated platform that designs, makes, and delivers officially licensed apparel, jerseys, headwear, and collectibles for leagues, teams, and events worldwide.

It operates more than 900 e-commerce sites and sells across digital, in-venue, and retail channels, reaching fans in over 180 countries.

This Senior Software Engineer role on the AI SDLC Platform team supports the software delivery platform used for some of the company's highest-impact programs. The team is small and works hands-on.

The platform turns early program ideas into specs and tickets that an engineer or coding agent can carry out. It is built from Go and Python services, Temporal workers, a knowledge pipeline, a retrieval layer, MCP servers, and a React app that tracks delivery and capacity.

You will own features from design through production, use coding agents every day, and be accountable for what you ship.

Responsibilities

  • Work with program managers and program teams to understand needs, agree on scope, plan the work, and set realistic timelines.
  • Review code, update peers on your progress, and help the engineers around you.
  • Document what you build and explain it through demos and clear technical writing.
  • Deliver platform features that give the Oracle integration, custom ERP development, and Product Lifecycle Management integration programs a dependable delivery lifecycle.
  • Give engineering leaders clear visibility into delivery and capacity across many teams and thousands of work items through the React tracking app.
  • Build capacity and features so more programs can adopt the platform with confidence.
  • Triage production issues quickly and find root causes, such as slow endpoints or stuck jobs.
  • Build and maintain the knowledge pipeline. Use Temporal workflows to pull content from Zoom, SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira into a searchable knowledge base with chunking, embedding, and indexing.
  • Improve retrieval quality using curated evaluation datasets that run in CI.
  • Develop MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that give agents read-only access to program and knowledge data. Propagate caller identity, check access, and audit every tool call.
  • Maintain the skill framework program teams use to turn approved specs into tickets and compliance artifacts.
  • Own features from design through rollout. Break work into clear stories, design components, and write specs, API and schema contracts, and sequence diagrams.
  • Make decisions on your own and bring in teammates when you need their input.
  • Use coding agents for production work by splitting features into pieces an agent can finish. Review generated code to the same standard as code you write yourself.
  • Commit to delivery dates and flag delays early.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years building and running production software, with deep expertise in one area of a stack like this one and willingness to work outside it.
  • Strong in Python or Go, with solid relational database skills in schema design, migrations, and query performance.
  • Comfortable designing APIs and working with containers and CI/CD.
  • Experience shipping production code with LLM coding agents. This includes scoping tasks so an agent can finish them, giving it the right context, reviewing its output critically, and knowing when to write the code yourself.
  • Commitment to quality at speed: you ship tests with every change and can identify what an agent got wrong and explain why.
  • Experience running what you built, including live triage and diagnosing slow endpoints or stuck jobs.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs in real systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
