JAVA Software Engineer (5775) (Boulder, CO) (TS/SCI)

Description

The space and intelligence business unit works across the remote sensing ecosystem for every orbital regime: LEO, MEO, HEO and GEO.

The team builds, integrates and runs space-ground systems for customers, including real-time data processing frameworks, sensor data processing and data visualization.

The company partners with industry firms that bring strong capabilities to customers' most urgent needs.

The role is an immediate opening for a Java software engineer who builds microservices in Java, C++ and/or Python within an Agile development process.

You will work on and help build full-stack web applications using Java, C++, Python and cloud technologies.

Pay depends on location, federal contract labor category, prior experience, skills, education and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with Agile, DevSecOps, continuous integration and continuous deployment practices, using GitLab, test automation and other tools.
• Help define and set up commercial cloud-based development environments.
• Run unit tests on every assigned feature and support integration testing where it applies.
• Lead and mentor technical teams.
• Collaborate across disciplines with internal and external customers to keep the work environment positive and productive.
• Assign tasks and technical direction to junior engineers, and review their work at several levels.
• Create and maintain training materials.

Requirements

• Required: Java.
• Required: active TS/SCI clearance.
• Desired: experience with test automation.

Conditions

The role is on-site at the customer's location in Boulder, CO, 5 days per week.

TS/SCI clearance is required.
