You will join the team building Digital Asset Technology for a regulated bank, a senior site reliability role at Vice President level.
The work is to engineer and run resilient, secure and scalable infrastructure for the bank's next generation of digital asset products, covering cloud platforms, production reliability, CI/CD, security automation, disaster recovery and operational resilience.
The role is based in Whippany, NJ.
Responsibilities
Build, run and improve the cloud and production infrastructure behind digital asset products, with reliability and resilience designed in from the start.
Keep CI/CD pipelines, source code hosting and development tooling running, and automate infrastructure provisioning and security controls.
Improve service reliability, observability, performance and capacity by using automation, monitoring and metrics to find and fix weaknesses.
Work with engineering, architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, risk and operations teams across each stage of the platform lifecycle.
Manage and reduce risk through assessment, and take ownership of controls for your team's work.
Advise senior stakeholders, including functional leadership and senior management, on the impact of decisions across functions.
Set or shape strategy, plan resources, budgets and policies, and drive continuous improvement. Escalate policy or procedure breaches.
If you manage a team, define roles, plan for future needs, coach people on performance and contribute to pay decisions.
If you are an individual contributor, act as the subject matter expert, set technical direction, lead multi-year assignments and coach less experienced engineers.
Use sophisticated analysis and research to compare complex options, define problems and design solutions.
Requirements
A track record of building and running cloud and infrastructure platforms that stay highly available, including on-call work, incident response, disaster simulations, contingency planning and recovery testing.

Proven ownership of security and service infrastructure, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning, access, security controls, cloud security posture and organisation-wide technology policies, and leading CI/CD incident response.
A commitment to strengthening service reliability, observability, performance, capacity and resilience through automation, monitoring and metrics.
Strong collaboration skills for working closely with engineering, architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, risk and operations teams.
You may be assessed on critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.
