This senior project manager role sits in its aerospace digital services team, where the work is leading complex digital transformation projects for clients.

You will turn business goals into technology solutions that are sustainable and deliver value. Your day-to-day contacts will include executives, business leaders, operations staff and technical specialists, and you will act as a trusted adviser who helps match business needs with what technology can do.

You will guide teams made up of business analysts, solution architects and software engineers, keeping projects on track for scope, schedule, budget and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex digital transformation initiatives that support quality, manufacturing, engineering and operations.
  • Shape and carry out transformation strategies that raise operational performance, efficiency and solution uptake.
  • Run workshops with business stakeholders to understand problems, define requirements and turn needs into roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Keep business goals, operational processes and technology solutions aligned throughout each project.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders, operations teams, technical experts and executives.
  • Lead governance, steering committees and project reviews so priorities, scope, risks and delivery goals stay agreed.
  • Analyse and improve end-to-end processes in quality, manufacturing and operations, looking for ways to simplify, standardise, automate and keep improving.
  • Encourage use of scalable, sustainable enterprise solutions built on proven practices and standard capabilities.
  • Weigh business requirements, technical feasibility, operational limits and long-term maintainability when making decisions.
  • Serve as the main link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Encourage collaboration across teams and help solve complex functional, operational and technical problems.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver large-scale transformation programmes and solution rollouts.
  • Manage scope, schedule, resources, dependencies and deliverables to get good project outcomes.
  • Track project performance against defined KPIs and governance measures.
  • Spot, assess and reduce risks, issues and dependencies that could affect delivery, quality, budget or schedule.
  • Mentor project teams and help build delivery best practices.
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, digital transformation, enterprise solution delivery, manufacturing systems, quality systems or operational excellence.
  • Proven record of leading large-scale business transformation programmes in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, transport or other complex regulated sectors.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and working with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in business process analysis, requirements management and solution deployment.
  • Extensive experience delivering complex projects with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methods.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a focus on results.
  • Experience running multi-site and international projects.
  • Ability to turn strategic goals into workable plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of digital solutions, enterprise applications, system integrations, data analytics and operational technologies.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile or equivalent certifications are an asset.

Conditions
