Senior Project Manager MEP (m/f/d) - Data Centres

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design and delivery of MEP systems so they meet project specifications, codes and standards.
• Work with architects, engineers and construction teams to bring MEP systems into the overall project design.
• Analyse and track key milestones, and manage them to prevent schedule slippage.
• Review construction proposals, pricing and scopes, manage project budgets and keep costs within financial limits.
• Support engineering decisions affecting cost and budget as design-build changes happen during construction.
• Review and check work in place, and approve capital expenditure.
• Keep clients, contractors and team members communicating so they understand MEP requirements and timelines.
• Lead client meetings and other required meetings.
• Identify what drives construction costs, and monitor and report on that data.
• Review payment requests.
• Track equipment deliveries against the project schedule.
• Log events that could lead to a claim, acting on the client's behalf.
• Review and approve final invoices, payment applications and retention payments.

Requirements

• A university degree in construction management or a related field.
• At least 15 years' experience as an MEP project manager on major construction projects. Data centre construction experience is preferred.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheets, report writing and presentations.
• Strong communication and professional skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to juggle several tasks at once.
• A team mindset, self-motivation, and willingness to support other groups and projects when needed.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, creativity and energy.
• Fluent English and at least B2 level German.
