Description

The company provides consulting to a financial services client to support its strategic business goals.

The senior project manager leads office infrastructure construction projects onsite and across the region.

Projects are MEP upgrades and installations in occupied smart-building offices, with a focus on BMS (Building Management Systems) automation controls.

The role sits in the Project Management function as Owner's Representative, managing projects from initiation through completion.

The company is a global professional services firm with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, working across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources.

Its capabilities include program, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions.

The company is majority-owned by CBRE Group, Inc., with partners holding a significant minority interest.

Responsibilities

  • Manage every phase of multiple real estate projects, from planning and design through construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to set up each project, covering scope, delivery resources, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control and risk identification.
  • Report project progress to the Project Management Director and other business leaders.
  • Coach and manage other project managers so they build deep knowledge across most or all of the function.
  • Define project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the qualification process. Run complex requests for proposals, evaluate bids and recommend resources to clients.
  • Keep all workstreams on schedule and make sure issues are resolved or escalated.
  • Run regular meetings to review status on active and pending projects.
  • Work with the project team to develop solutions and guide them through implementation and completion.
  • Look for and develop better methods to meet individual and department objectives.
  • Show deep expertise in your own area and sound knowledge of other subject areas in the function.
  • Drive customer, operational, project and service outcomes across multi-discipline teams, within functional policies that shape procedures and policies.
  • Contribute to new products, processes, standards and operational plans that support functional goals.
  • Lead by example and act in line with company values. Anticipate objections and persuade senior leaders and stakeholders with differing interests to adopt a different view.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of the role and must be followed where they apply.

Requirements

  • You must be currently authorized to work in the United States, with no need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Experience and education combined will be considered in place of a degree.
  • PE, LEED AP, PMP and/or CCM designations are preferred.
  • Required: owner's representative experience for a Class A financial or professional services client, and infrastructure or MEP experience.
  • Desired: strong knowledge of BMS controls, building automation and smart buildings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is needed, along with knowledge of PM Web or similar project management software.
  • Required: a solid record of working with senior leadership in a strategic role and of leading delivery resources on projects.
  • You must be able to handle a fast-paced, demanding setting while leading multiple projects or programs at different stages.

Conditions

The role is hybrid, with onsite work and approximately 20% regional travel out of town.

Equal opportunity employer.

Benefits

  • The company offers a flexible working environment that supports work-life balance, a voice in driving change and opportunities to grow both at work and in life.
