Description

The company makes an all-in-one EHR platform for independent healthcare practices, with more than 42,000 private practices using it. This senior product manager role covers the Patient Experience products, which help practices communicate with patients and cut back on administrative work.

You will own product strategy and delivery, decide priorities based on customer needs, and lead cross-functional teams from early research through launch. You will also track customer and business results. Practical AI skills matter in this role, both in the products you build and in how you work.

The scope may change over time across Patient Experience products, including calendar and scheduling, depending on customer needs and business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Define and design features for one or more core products that solve real customer problems.
  • Lead the Message Center as a core Patient Experience product, improving communication between patients and practices. Work with Engineering, Legal, and Operations on A2P messaging compliance, registration, consent, and reliable delivery.
  • Find places where AI and automation can reduce staff workload at practices or improve patient interactions. Use approved AI tools to research, explore options, build prototypes, and test assumptions, checking outputs and protecting confidential data.
  • Work with technical teams to set AI quality measures, build representative evaluation cases, and define human review, fallback paths, and launch criteria. Balance accuracy and usefulness against privacy, latency, and cost.
  • Carry out market research: define and analyze customer segments, review industry reports, compare competitors, understand the needs of different specialties, and evaluate pricing and packaging.
  • Work with other teams to design features and processes for the platform and the customer experience. Give Product Marketing recommendations on positioning.
  • Gather feedback from support issues, user acceptance testing, sales win and loss data, and customer visits where you observe how they use the product in their own setting.
  • Write product specifications, use case documents, and interface wireframes.
  • Maintain the customer experience roadmap by documenting strategy and owning the feature backlog.
  • Prepare reports on how key features are used and recommend roadmap changes based on them.
  • Keep up with regulatory and compliance requirements for healthcare technology.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience on software applications.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI in product work, such as prototypes, experiments, or workflow changes that helped a team learn or move faster.
  • Preferred: experience shipping and evaluating an AI-powered feature in production.
  • Working knowledge of large language models, prompting, retrieval, and agentic workflows, including their limits. You can work with technical partners on evaluations, human oversight, privacy, and responsible use.
  • A record of success with customer-facing products, complex workflows, and product strategy, plus an understanding of the needs of patients and independent practices.
  • Experience as a product manager at a successful B2B SaaS or cloud software company, including agile product management.
  • A track record of running complex initiatives with many stakeholders at both senior and junior levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and analyze detailed financial models.
  • A flexible, creative thinker who can weigh business trade-offs, propose unconventional solutions, and make progress when things are unclear.
  • Preferred: product development experience in healthcare.
