Description

Construction, engineering and other project-driven industries depend on their people, skills and operational resources. Organisations have to balance productivity, compliance, utilisation and cost, while making sure the right resources are in place at the right time.

The company is hiring a senior product manager to help shape strategy, discovery and delivery for its operational workforce and resource management solutions, serving Construction & Engineering and adjacent industries.

You will take product initiatives from early discovery through to adoption. That means working with customers, engineers, designers and industry specialists to test opportunities, build business cases and deliver results that can be measured.

The role is based in the United Kingdom but covers North America, Europe and APMJA. You will engage customers, partners and internal teams to spot opportunities, confirm needs and deliver solutions that add measurable business value.

The role calls for strong product leadership and strategic thinking, along with an interest in applying AI, automation and emerging technologies to complex workforce and operational problems.

Responsibilities

  • Help set product strategy and shape roadmaps for your assigned product areas and investments.
  • Turn customer needs, market trends and industry insight into focused investment decisions.
  • Weigh customer value, commercial potential and long-term platform development against each other.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Speak directly with customers to learn their challenges, priorities and goals.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, partners and industry experts.
  • Test opportunities thoroughly before any investment is approved.
  • Set up design partner and lighthouse customer relationships to support discovery and adoption.
  • Convert customer problems into product outcomes, user experiences and success measures.
  • Lead prototyping, validation and repeated rounds of discovery.
  • Work in close partnership with engineering and design.
  • Use AI to speed up discovery, innovation and product definition.
  • Build investment cases backed by evidence.
  • Carry initiatives from discovery through to adoption.
  • Support positioning, launch and customer engagement.
  • Track success through adoption, customer results and business impact.
  • Promote an AI-first approach, looking for ways automation, intelligence and agentic experiences could change workforce-heavy industries.
  • Find places where intelligent automation can simplify work.
  • Explore new ways of interacting with products and new user experiences.
  • Make sure AI-enabled features deliver outcomes that users can trust and measure.
  • Work with customers to design the next generation of workforce experiences on the company Cloud.

Requirements

  • Product management experience delivering SaaS, workforce management, resource management, field service or enterprise software.
  • Experience helping shape product strategy, roadmaps, discovery, delivery and adoption.
  • Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, time and attendance, resource management, labour compliance, payroll integration or workforce analytics.
  • An understanding of operationally intensive industries such as Construction & Engineering, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Telecommunications or Field Service.
  • Experience working with customers around the world.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and design teams.
  • Fluent English and a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Desirable: experience with workforce management, resource planning, scheduling, payroll, HCM or operational workforce solutions.
  • Desirable: experience in construction, engineering, energy, utilities, manufacturing or other project-centric industries.
  • Desirable: understanding of workforce productivity, compliance, payroll and workforce analytics.
  • Desirable: experience building AI-enabled enterprise software products.
  • Desirable: familiarity with AI, automation and agentic experiences.
  • Desirable: experience modernising enterprise SaaS products.
  • Desirable: exposure to business case development, pricing, monetisation or product P&L ownership.
  • Desirable: experience setting up design partner or customer co-innovation programmes.
  • Desirable: a degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, computer science or a related field.

Conditions

Recent hands-on experience owning a workforce, resource or crew scheduling product, such as shift scheduling, time and attendance, capacity planning or absence management, is required. The experience must be as a Product Manager or Product Owner, not as a Business Analyst, Programme Manager or delivery lead working to someone else's requirements.

If your closest match to this domain was a short stint, or was more than a few years ago, this role is probably not a good fit.

Work model: flexible and hybrid working is supported.

Location: United Kingdom, with a global remit across North America, Europe and APMJA.

Travel: willingness to travel internationally is required.

The company values diversity and inclusion and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
