Senior Network Engineer (Voice)

This Senior Network Engineer (Voice) role sits in the IT Infrastructure and Operations job family and focuses on data center network architecture and operations.

Each day you will work alongside site engineering staff to learn how DoW-specific configurations and requirements shape the work. You will also lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and deliver technical solutions to a wide range of hard problems.
• Maintain and upgrade servers, routers, switches, firewalls and remote access systems.
• Keep networks intact and connected while following policy, and maintain system backup and recovery capability.
• Arrange the purchase of hardware, software and subcontractor services as needed.
• Plan and configure systems for data communication networks.
• Design and build hardware and software components for computer and telecommunications networks.
• Evaluate new communications technologies for ways to strengthen the network.
• Stay current on relevant technology as assigned.
• Lead the team.

Requirements

• Experience with communication networks, network administration, network automation, routers and unified communications.
• 8+ years of related experience, or a mix of education and experience.
• An associate's degree or equivalent.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, any variant, is required.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to start. You must hold it now or be able to obtain it. No Public Trust or other clearance is required.
• Strong communication skills, with tact, active listening and follow-through.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to understand network evaluation criteria and make exact assessments.
• Preferred: CCNA or equivalent certification.
• Preferred: military experience.

Conditions

Based on site at the customer location in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, USA.

US citizenship is required.

40 scheduled hours per week, with 10-25% travel.

The likely salary range is $93,500 - $126,500. It is not guaranteed. Pay is set by experience, geographic location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
