Description

The company is a technology-enabled provider of asset management services for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure across North America, covering maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering for UPS systems, backup generators, battery energy storage, critical cooling, and other electrical and mechanical equipment in renewable energy, telecom, and data center markets.

Founded in 1998, the company has more than 4,000 employees and 28 locations across the U.S. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE Group, Inc., the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm.

The Senior Network Engineer designs, implements, administers, maintains, and optimizes enterprise network infrastructure for global data center, cloud, campus, and branch environments. You bring advanced engineering skill across routing, switching, cloud networking, security, wireless, SDWAN, segmentation, and load balancing, and you lead complex infrastructure work with a focus on availability, scalability, security, and operational quality.

The role is hybrid, with two days per week in a Dallas-area office. Candidates based in the Dallas area are preferred, and relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise networks built on Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, ISR, Meraki, and Juniper/HPE platforms, including Mist.
  • Support cloud networking across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), covering network security, load balancing, connectivity, and hybrid-cloud integration.
  • Configure and maintain routing and switching environments using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RPVST+, VPC, and other enterprise protocols.
  • Deploy and support Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, Layer 7 policies, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Build and run Network Access Control using Cisco ISE, Forescout, and 802.1X for segmentation and policy enforcement.
  • Manage wireless infrastructure, including Cisco and Juniper WLCs, access points, RF tuning, roaming, and wireless security.
  • Configure and maintain F5 LTM, GTM, APM, and application delivery services to keep applications available and fast.
  • Administer IPAM, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, and related management platforms.
  • Design, implement, and maintain WAN and SDWAN solutions across MPLS, DIA, VPLS/EVC, DWDM, and cloud connectivity.
  • Administer and tune Cisco ACI software-defined networking to improve scale, segmentation, and automation.
  • Monitor performance and capacity with NetFlow, SNMP, Syslog, IP SLA, packet capture, and other tools.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across network, cloud, security, and application delivery.
  • Build automation and scripts for provisioning, monitoring, configuration management, and daily operations.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from design through delivery, working with project managers, vendors, security teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, engineering standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and network operations staff and give them technical guidance.
  • Take part in incident, change, capacity, and technology lifecycle work.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend changes that improve reliability, performance, security, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise network engineering and infrastructure operations.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routing, switching, and data center technology, including ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, ISR, and Juniper Mist.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and network security architecture.
  • Experience designing and supporting SDWAN, WAN, cloud networking, and segmentation.
  • Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, and GCP networking services and hybrid-cloud designs.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE, NAC, wireless, F5 load balancing, and network monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferred, not required: CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, Azure Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking, or an equivalent certification.
