Description

The company makes a consumer health product that tracks readiness, activity and sleep quality through a ring and companion app, and it serves millions of members with daily insights.

The company is growing quickly and aims to help people live healthier, happier lives.

This role sits in the Future Physiology team in Finland and involves close work with the company's hardware, firmware, software and science teams.

You will shape the company's next generation of features by converting noisy, multimodal sensor data, such as PPG, motion and temperature, into reliable, scalable health insights for members worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • You own the full algorithm lifecycle, from physiological background and signal processing to model architecture, evaluation and production scaling.
  • You build and ship advanced ML algorithms, including Transformers, RNNs and probabilistic models, that extract physiological metrics for varied user groups and handle motion artifacts and environmental noise.
  • You work with the company's large cloud datasets and test with prototypes, hardware evaluation kits and benchtop setups.
  • You turn complex results and physiological findings into clear technical plans and narratives for senior leadership, informing the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • You have 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, biosignal processing, sensor fusion and analysing real-world multimodal time-series data.
  • You are skilled in PyTorch and the scientific Python stack, including NumPy, SciPy, pandas and scikit-learn.
  • You have a deep grasp of the human physiology behind wearable biosignals and can pull clean signals out of noisy data.
  • You know modern data infrastructure and scalable cloud systems and have moved ML models from research into production software.
  • You hold a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, Signal Processing, Applied Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field, or you have an equivalent practical track record.
  • You work well in an agile setting with high autonomy, owning algorithm work from early concept tests through deployment.
  • You have direct experience in consumer health tech, wearable hardware or digital health applications.
  • You have worked in cross-disciplinary teams spanning software engineering, hardware development and clinical research.

Conditions

The role is hybrid, based from the Oulu or Helsinki office.

The position is located in Finland.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants regardless of protected characteristics.

Benefits
