Description

The company makes a smart ring and companion app that help people track readiness, activity, and sleep quality, and it has reached millions of users with daily insights and practical steps for healthier living.

The company is growing quickly and wants its team to have what it needs to do strong work, both in the office and outside it.

This role is for a senior Full Stack Developer on the Human Care Ecosystem Team in the US. The team builds and maintains partnership integrations, healthcare products, and B2B products.

You will be a good fit if you want to understand users and their needs, push for technical investment, and care about shipping high-quality code. The team values initiative and ownership from start to finish: turning a rough idea into a real feature or product, deploying it, and watching usage to confirm it solves the problem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full stack technical work within the team's scope, guide technology and design decisions, and mentor other full stack developers.
  • Build experiences that improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, and extend the company's use into new markets through partnerships, healthcare, and B2B work.
  • Work with product managers and designers to build accessible, responsive, and easy-to-use experiences.
  • Own solutions from design through production, monitoring, and documentation, and help set engineering best practices across the full lifecycle.
  • Solve unclear problems with solid software engineering, improve architecture, and prepare the platform to scale to new product capabilities.
  • Keep the platform compliant with current security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Work well across a global, diverse team and adjust as the company and its opportunities change.
  • Core technologies include TypeScript, React, and React Query, along with Python.
  • You will work with AWS services including EKS, CDK, Lambdas, RDS, and DynamoDB, plus PostgreSQL, GitHub Actions, and Sentry.

Requirements

  • You have at least 10 years of hands-on full stack web development experience.
  • You have deep experience with TypeScript and modern client-side frameworks such as React.
  • Python experience is a plus, though not required.
  • You write code that is easy to maintain, extend, test, and read.
  • You have designed, built, and deployed scalable, high-performance web services in production on AWS or comparable platforms, and you can apply sound architecture and best practices to new and existing products.
  • You work pragmatically and focus on delivery. You weigh short-term goals against long-term tech debt and concentrate on what matters most.
  • You work well in a team, and you enjoy working in a diverse setting with distributed colleagues.

Conditions

The role is remote within the US.

The role is also hybrid out of the San Francisco office.

Candidates residing in Alaska (AK), Delaware (DE), Iowa (IA), Mississippi (MS), Nebraska (NE), South Dakota (SD), West Virginia (WV), or Wisconsin (WI) are not being considered.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on any basis protected by federal, state, or local law.

Benefits

  • Every employee receives a ring of their own, and employees and their friends and family get discounts.
  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus mental health resources.
  • 20 days of paid time off, 13 paid holidays, and 8 days of flexible wellness time off.
  • Paid sick leave and parental leave.
  • Pay is set using a market-based approach that can vary by location. US locations fall into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that area. Most offers land nearer the starting point of the range, while final pay depends on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. The ranges may change over time.
  • Region 1: $198,050 to $233,000.
  • Region 2: $180,200 to $212,000.
  • Region 3: $169,150 to $199,000.
  • A recruiter will confirm your region based on your US location.
