Description

The company is a digital financial services business that offers point-of-sale credit and digital payments, linking millions of customers with tens of thousands of merchants in Australia and the US. It is listed on the ASX.

The Marketing team sits within the Customer & Revenue division and combines creative work, commercial thinking and customer insight to build experiences that help customers and merchant partners succeed.

In this role you'll help attract new merchant partners, strengthen existing relationships and create commercial growth through marketing.

The role is open at either Senior Merchant Marketing Manager or Merchant Marketing Manager level, depending on your experience.

You'll own campaigns from concept to delivery, working with Sales, Product, Brand and Marketing to turn business priorities into results.

The team is looking for commercially minded marketers who like hands-on problem solving and can balance creativity with data.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run merchant marketing campaigns that bring in new partners, deepen engagement and support retention and revenue growth.
  • Own each initiative from planning through execution, measurement and optimisation, with clear goals and measurable outcomes for every campaign.
  • Work with Sales to find merchant growth opportunities and build marketing activity behind commercial priorities.
  • Turn the merchant value proposition into clear messages, creative campaigns and engaging collateral.
  • Use merchant insights, customer data and campaign results to make decisions, spot opportunities and improve marketing.
  • Manage the detail of each campaign, including audiences, budgets, creative, tracking, quality checks and optimisation.
  • Track acquisition, conversion, engagement, revenue and return on investment, then recommend improvements.
  • Partner with Product, Brand and the wider Marketing team so merchant experiences stay consistent, relevant and engaging.
  • Test creative, messaging, audiences and channels to find better ways to get results.
  • Stay proactive and solutions focused, balance several priorities, and support wider acquisition and marketing work when needed.

Requirements

  • You don't need to meet every desirable point below to be considered, since the team values a mix of skills and backgrounds.
  • Fit with the company's four values and a drive to learn and grow.
  • Desirable: Proven record delivering campaigns with measurable commercial results, ideally in financial services, payments, technology or a related industry.
  • Desirable: Solid knowledge of marketing channels, campaign planning, merchant or customer engagement and performance optimisation.
  • Desirable: A commercial outlook that links marketing to business growth, customer outcomes and merchant success.
  • Desirable: Comfort using data and insight to assess performance, solve problems and make practical recommendations.
  • Desirable: Hands-on experience running campaigns from planning through execution, reporting and ongoing improvement.
  • Desirable: Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to build trust and work across Sales, Product, Brand and Marketing.
  • Desirable: Clear, engaging writing and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and manage competing priorities in a quick-moving setting.
  • Desirable: A curious, proactive approach, willing to question existing ways of working, test new ideas and find improvements.
  • Desirable: Openness to AI and new tools, with a willingness to adapt and learn.
  • Desirable: Skill in identifying and managing risk, which matters to everyone since all roles include leadership responsibility.
  • Desirable: Living the four values: Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game.
