Description

The Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence sits within the Marketing Excellence division and helps marketers use data with confidence. It provides analytics, attribution and ROI insight, data governance, and the platforms and training that let teams work on their own.

This is a senior leadership role that owns the direction of the company's Marketing Technology (MarTech) ecosystem. You will make sure marketing platforms produce measurable value, match business priorities, and support long-term growth through governance, investment planning, and work with stakeholders.

The role suits someone who enjoys building partnerships, influencing senior people, and joining up a set of technology tools so marketing teams can do their work.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a multi-year MarTech strategy that decides which platforms to invest in, combine, or retire, based on business needs and where the market is heading
  • Work with Technology leadership so the MarTech roadmap fits the wider technology architecture, data, and security standards
  • Scan the market for new MarTech tools and capabilities that could matter to the business
  • Negotiate contracts and renewals across the marketing platform portfolio
  • Manage licences and seats so allocation tracks real usage and need in each team
  • Oversee vendor relationships at a strategic level, making sure platforms deliver on roadmap commitments and value
  • Work with Technology on the overall MarTech budget: forecasting, cutting costs where possible, and building business cases for new spend
  • Serve as the central link between Platform Product Managers so the platforms integrate and work together instead of sitting in silos

Requirements

  • Substantial experience running or overseeing marketing technology platforms at a strategic level, such as CDPs, engagement or CRM platforms, social or CX tools, and AI content tools
  • A proven record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and owning a budget
  • Experience working across functions with Technology teams, turning business needs into technical requirements without being a technical specialist yourself
  • Ability to shape a coherent strategy from a fragmented set of tools and to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial judgement, with comfort owning budgets and showing return on investment
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to get results through influence and collaboration rather than direct authority over platform teams

Conditions

The company supports a healthy work and life balance, with wellbeing programmes, shared parental leave, study assistance, and sabbaticals

You can work flexible hours, adjusting when in the day you work to fit your commitments and your most productive times

Equal opportunity: the company is committed to a fair and accessible hiring process and will make adjustments on request
