Description

The company brings clinical research and health services to communities that often face barriers to care, using research sites, mobile clinics and clinicians across the globe.

Its programs include Future of Medicine, which offers advanced health screenings and research opportunities to communities worldwide, and Difference Makers, which backs local leaders on community health and wellbeing.

This is a senior role on a fast-growing team, building AI products that help new therapies reach patients faster. The work is fully remote and suits someone who solves complex problems carefully, automates processes, and communicates well with colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy AI-driven products that speed up clinical trials and improve patient outcomes, delivering scalable machine learning solutions to complex real-world problems in clinical research.
  • Develop advanced ML models and LLM-powered agents for patient recruitment, enrollment forecasting and study feasibility, and help extend the AI knowledge base architecture behind them.
  • Build robust data pipelines and deploy models at scale using modern cloud tools and MLOps practices. Work with Python, Clojure, AWS services such as Athena, Bedrock and SageMaker, dbt, Prefect, and CI/CD automation with monitoring to keep models reliable and current.
  • Work with data scientists, product managers, designers, engineers and domain experts to bring AI capabilities into the platform, including the company products, so they support clinical research workflows for end users.
  • Keep up with ML and AI developments such as LLMs, NLP and probabilistic modeling, suggest new ideas, and turn promising prototypes into production features.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning solutions in production at scale.
  • Proven record of building end-to-end ML pipelines, from data ingestion to model serving, for applications used by real people.
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with its ML ecosystem, including pandas, scikit-learn and TensorFlow or PyTorch. Write clean, efficient code, handle large datasets, and write complex SQL.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure and with Docker. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and monitoring for model performance and data drift.
  • Solid grounding in ML fundamentals such as model selection, training, evaluation and feature engineering, plus statistical modeling. Familiarity with NLP and large language models is important.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and build ML solutions that are accurate, fast and maintainable in production.
  • Care about the mission of speeding up clinical trials and improving patient outcomes, and build unbiased AI with empathy for patients, clinicians and researchers.
  • Functional programming experience, such as Clojure, is a plus but not required.
