Senior Lead Software Engineer

Description

You will act as the senior lead software engineer on the finance technology team, responsible for designing, building and releasing critical applications that run the company's global finance platforms.

Day to day, you will study intricate business and system workflows, coach a group of developers and analysts, and direct technical moves across Oracle EPM, FCCS and ARCS environments.

The role sits in the company's technology group, which serves a global financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Build out enterprise finance applications by adding new functions and releasing solutions on Oracle EPM, FCCS and ARCS.
• Study complicated business and system processes and design answers to hard technical problems.
• Plan and oversee work with large budgets across several cross-functional projects, in the senior lead role.
• Set the standards for design, coding, testing, debugging and deployment so delivery stays consistent.
• Direct moves to new platforms, using architecture principles to make systems more stable.
• Meet end users to turn business needs into clear system specifications and functional designs.
• Coach developers and analysts, assigning their work and guiding them across the applications development function.
• Weigh risk in every technology choice, protecting the company, its clients and its systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years in applications development, systems analysis and software implementation.
• Experience managing people, with proven leadership, project management and relationship-building skills.
• Work background in finance, with deep knowledge of applications development and clients' core business functions.
• Hands-on Oracle EPM work across FCCS, ARCS, EDMS and EPR, including running technical migrations to new systems.
• Full-stack development in Python or Java, plus Pyspark experience, working knowledge of architecture principles and data analysis.
• Experience applying AI enablement approaches in technology solutions.
• Beneficial: a Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: a Master's degree in a related field.

Conditions

Full-time position based in Irving, Texas, United States.

Primary location base salary range: $156,160.00 - $234,240.00.
