Senior Java Engineering Lead – Cloud Security Platforms

Description

The company is hiring a senior Java engineering lead to own engineering strategy and delivery for identity and security platforms in its Data Security Transformation Engineering group, part of Cloud Technology Services.

You will lead a geographically spread engineering team building scalable, cloud-native platforms that support the company's global technology and security goals.

The role sits where engineering quality, security transformation and large-scale platform delivery meet, and the platforms are business-critical.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, engineering strategy and delivery from start to finish for secure, scalable, cloud-native platforms behind identity and security initiatives.
• Direct a distributed engineering organisation, set clear direction, and build a culture that values accountability, new ideas and steady improvement.
• Set technology roadmaps, architecture standards and governance frameworks that keep the platforms sustainable and aligned with strategy.
• Set and promote engineering practices across development, testing, automation, deployment, observability and operational support.
• Work with product owners, enterprise architects, information security and infrastructure teams to turn strategic goals into workable technical solutions.
• Coach and develop engineers and technical leads, grow team capability and plan succession.
• Identify and manage technology, delivery and operational risks, making sure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance and regulatory requirements in design and operation.

Requirements

• Substantial experience leading enterprise engineering teams that deliver large distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Deep hands-on skill in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security and Spring Data.
• Ability to design and deliver microservices, event-driven and distributed systems, with practical work on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience designing secure platforms with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, mutual TLS (mTLS), encryption and application security practice.
• A record of managing geographically distributed teams, lifting performance and developing technical talent across complex matrixed organisations.
• Experience building and running data pipelines and event streaming with Apache Kafka, and skill in REST and SOAP API development and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle and MongoDB, plus strong CI/CD, Git and DevOps delivery practice.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, able to speak credibly to technical and non-technical audiences at senior level.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Primary location salary range: 22 713 830,00 Ft to 38 083 370,00 Ft.
