The role sits on a globally distributed Agile team that works on the enterprise-scale web application platform.

You will have direct influence on the product, work with current technologies, and collaborate with capable engineers in a highly innovative setting.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software, raise the technical bar across the team, and go beyond implementation by shaping architecture talks, coaching peers, and steering engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and upkeep high-quality software within an Agile team running Scrum or Kanban.
• Take full ownership of complex features, from design through to release.
• Write new functionality and fix defects, keeping quality and performance front of mind.
• Create reusable, maintainable, scalable code that supports the product over the long term.
• Work closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, Support, UX designers, and other developers.
• Join technical design discussions and help shape architecture decisions.
• Review code and encourage good engineering practice.
• Help maintain continuous integration, automated testing, and modern delivery methods.
• Diagnose and resolve complicated technical problems.
• Show finished features to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Write technical documentation and share knowledge across the team.
• Coach junior engineers and help raise the overall skill level of engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java SE, the Spring Framework (Spring MVC, with Spring Boot preferred), and JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular (current versions preferred).
• Experience building enterprise-grade web applications.
• Solid grasp of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and common design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with Git and current source control workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration.
• Experience working in Agile software teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to contribute across the development lifecycle, including analysis, testing, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: experience with NgRx or other Redux-style state management frameworks.
• Preferred: experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of web security, authentication, and authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Preferred: familiarity with containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Preferred: experience improving application performance and scalability.
• Preferred: previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.
