Description

The company makes edge-to-cloud technology that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications wherever those run.

This is a senior product management role in the engineering job family. You will own a product or portfolio from planning and design through forecasting and production to end of life.

The role is a subject matter expert position at job level TCP04. You will shape technical product decisions, advise project teams, work through complex problems with a high degree of independence, and may lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and operational roadmap for one or more products, from start to finish.
  • Define the value proposition, target customers and business case for one or more new, disruptive products, judged against the whole portfolio: product mix, revenue, margins, financials and market share.
  • Turn market requirements (MRD) into customer and marketing detail, drawing on close customer knowledge and business, financial and industry insight.
  • Advise key stakeholders on portfolio strategy at every lifecycle stage: planning, development, launch, management and exit.
  • Align goals with partners across each product's value chain to protect margins and deliver the plan: engineering for product development, supply chain for SKUs and inventory, and marketing for pricing and the go-to-market plan.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Technical understanding of the relevant industry.
  • An MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering is preferred.
  • Expert skill in leading cross-functional work through influence, and in mentoring and leading teams to deliver results on complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Expert skill in building cost-efficient solutions and in creating and analyzing financial performance metrics.
  • Expert business acumen, with skill in root cause analysis and early problem detection.
  • Ability to deliver product-specific technical training to the team.

Conditions
